Love Never Fails

Greetings! Saturday is my day to share a Funky Fossil Designs project. I've created a card with the gorgeous Vintage Ink Collection by Belinda Basson, which is comprised of the Hello Sailor Clear Stamp Set, the Forever True Clear Stamp Set, and the 8x8 Vintage Ink Patterned Paper Pad. All three products are available separately if you prefer.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of ocean blue cardstock to create a 5" x 7". Set aside.
  2. Place a piece of white cardstock onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the light haired sailor girl from the Hello Sailor Clear Stamp Set onto white cardstock.
  3. Color the image and background with Copic markers.
  4. Use a rectangle die from the Sprinkle Scallop Die Set to cut the image panel.
  5. Use the next largest rectangle die from the same die set to cut blue polka dotted paper from the 8x8 Vintage Ink Patterned Paper Pad.
  6. Use an E41 Copic marker to edge the patterned paper die-cut, then use it to mat the image panel.
  7. Fussy-cut the anchor, clipper ship, and roses image from one of the pieces of patterned paper from the 8x8 Vintage Ink Patterned Paper Pad. Put that aside for another day!
  8. Place the remaining part of that patterned paper, which looks like aged parchment, onto the base of a stamping platform. Secure it with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
  9. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the scroll from the Forever True Clear Stamp Set onto the parchment area of the paper.
  10. Remove the scroll stamp from the stamping platform.
  11. Position the "Love never fails" sentiment stamp from the Forever True Clear Stamp Set facedown on the scroll as desired.
  12. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  13. Ink the sentiment stamp with Crimson Red VersaFine Ink and stamp.
  14. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary to attain a good impression.
  15. Remove the patterned paper from the stamping platform and heat set.
  16. Fussy-cut the scroll.
  17. Use Copic markers to add dimension and detail to the scroll, taking care to keep the markers away from the Crimson Red Ink.
  18. Use the E43 Copic marker to edge the fussy-cut stamped and colored scroll.
  19. Cut a piece of anchor/rose patterned paper from the 8x8 Vintage Ink Patterned Paper Pad to 4.75" x 6.75" and edge with an E41 marker.
  20. Adhere the anchor/rose patterned paper to the reserved blue card.
  21. Adhere the image panel as shown.
