Butterfly Illuminate Card

When I first saw the new Butterfly Illuminate Rubber Cling Stamp Set by Soraya Hemming for Carabelle Studio and the Illumination Stencil Mask by Soraya Hemming for Carabelle Studio, I knew that I had to have them soonest since they have such a cool Steampunk vibe to them.

Here's my first project with the stamp set and the stencil, which was created for Topflight Stamps.

  18. Die-cut the image panel using a plain slimline cutting die.
  19. Remove the masks and reserve for another use.
  20. Heat set the image panel die-cut.
  21. Use Zig Clean Color markers to color the butterflies. I definitely need to improve my skill set with those markers as I'm not thrilled with the job I did. Alas.
  22. Use a Silver Stardust glitter gel pen to add flight trails.
  23. Use the largest die from the Big and Little Chain Slimeline Dies Set to cut silver metallic cardstock.
  24. Mat the image panel die-cut onto the silver metallic die-cut, then adhere to the card.

You Look a Little Flat!

It's Tuesday which is my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Katzelkraft's wonderful stamps. When we received our upcoming assignments a while back, I had decided to make a get well card with the supine elephant from Les Jungles (Jungle Animals) Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set and the Sherlock Pabo from Les Pabos Series 1 Sherlock Holmes Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set. I must have been prescient because I could have sent this card to myself since I was diagnosed with pneumonia and a sinus infection a week ago. I'm on the mend now, but still... I missed more than a week of crafting!

Here's my slimline get well card.

  • I'm still relatively new to using watercolor markers, so I'm not totally thrilled with my blends. Oh well.
