When I first saw the new Butterfly Illuminate Rubber Cling Stamp Set by Soraya Hemming for Carabelle Studio and the Illumination Stencil Mask by Soraya Hemming for Carabelle Studio, I knew that I had to have them soonest since they have such a cool Steampunk vibe to them.
Here's my first project with the stamp set and the stencil, which was created for Topflight Stamps.

Instructions:
- Cut a piece of black cardstock to 8.5" x 8". Score at 4" and fold to form a slimline card. Set aside.
- Cut a piece of mixed media cardstock to 8.5" x 4".
- Use magnets to secure the cardstock to the base of a stamping platform.
- Position all three of the butterfly stamps facedown as desired.
- Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamps and lift.
- Ink the stamps with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and stamp all three of the gorgeous butterflies onto mixed media cardstock. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary to get good impressions.
- Place repositionable label paper onto the stamping platform.
- Ink the stamps and stamp again.
- Fussy-cut the label paper butterflies and place them atop their counterparts on the image panel as masks.
- Remove the image panel from the platform.
- Use magnets to secure it to the STAY-tion.
- Brush Periwinkle Prism Ink over the masked butterflies to color the white background.
- Use magnets to secure the Illumination Stencil Mask onto the left side of the image panel.
- Brush Periwinkle Prism Ink over the Illumination Stencil Mask onto the image panel.
- Move the stencil to the right side and secure with magnets.
- Repeat #Step 13.
- Spray Silver Dollar Prism Mist by Hunkydory Crafts over the image panel to add shimmery silver splotches and splashes. Sadly, you'll have to take my word for it since it's not showing up as well as I'd like on the photo.
- Die-cut the image panel using a plain slimline cutting die.
- Remove the masks and reserve for another use.
- Heat set the image panel die-cut.
- Use Zig Clean Color markers to color the butterflies. I definitely need to improve my skill set with those markers as I'm not thrilled with the job I did. Alas.
- Use a Silver Stardust glitter gel pen to add flight trails.
- Use the largest die from the Big and Little Chain Slimeline Dies Set to cut silver metallic cardstock.
- Mat the image panel die-cut onto the silver metallic die-cut, then adhere to the card.
