I'm totally stoked!
Yahoo!
I've been asked to join the first ever design team at Bombshell Stamps!
I'm totally stoked because I LOVE these stamps. The edgy, tattoo-inspired designs are amazing! It's going to be a fun ride for sure!
Congratulations to the other two Bombshell Girls, Gabriela Arriaza and Melyssa Connolly and a big Thank You! to Shannon!

Same, but different!
It's the same focal image and the same patterned paper, but I changed the layout and size of the card as well as the colorant.
The ship and sentiment stamps are from the "Homeward Bound" set by Bombshell Stamps. This time I colored the image and background with chalk pencils. I like this sunset better, but after seeing a glorious one last night, I realize that I still need to work on it. Chalks were fun to use and I like the soft look of the image. I still want to play with this stamp using colored pencils and then Copic markers, though I am running out of that specific map patterned paper. Luckily, I seem to have a lot of map-themed patterned paper.
I realize that the brads on the sentiment block (which is popped up) are not terribly straight. Oh well. I need to improve my stabbing-through-the-ruler skills. :D
So, which do card do you like better?

Now for something different!
Yes, there's still a pun with the "Sea You Soon" sentiment, but I decided it was time for something different. So, I got a few sets of Bombshell Stamps as a gift for myself from me to me, with love. :D
I fell in love with this ship and the set. The ship reminded me of the one that my husband and I sailed on out of Key West ages ago. We had always wanted to sail on a clipper ship since we had seen the very first OpSail in New York, so we took a sunset cruise and it was magnificent. I just wish we had seen the fabled "Green Flash". Ah well.
Anyways, the ship, compass, and the sentiment are from the Homeward Bound set, which happens to be on sale right now.
I watercolored the image, added a bit of shimmer with Twinkling H20s, and then added some accents with Liquid Pearls and white Inksentials pen. The patterned paper is very old Rusty Pickle paper. I distressed all edges and used some punches too.
I'm not thrilled with the sunrise/sunset and will need to work on that. It's a bit too much I think.

Thank you!
Kelly's Gnome Kitties (right & left) are very thankful to Santa for their thoughtful gift. The bird (Kelly's Bird in a Box)? Not so much.
All images colored with Copic markers and the paper is from Flair Designs!

Better late than never!
Busy, busy, busy and too wired to craft, which you've doubtless heard before from me. Maybe caffeine isn't really the answer, though I don't (can't and won't) believe that. Truth be told, I'm also a great procrastinator.
Anyways, I finally got around to finishing some cards, starting others, and scanning them. So be prepared for weeks of (very late) holiday cards and other stuff.
This one features some of the new release stamps from Odd Bird Planet, which are included in the store-wide 12 Days of Christmas Sale. I used Kelly's Ice House, Kelly's Snow House, Kelly's Gnome Pulling Tree, and "Warm Winter Wishes". I colored all images with chalk pencils, shimmery palette chalk, and Prismacolor Markers. I liberally added Liquid Pearls to the houses, grass, and street. That stuff is cool, but takes forever to dry. The papers are by Basic Grey and the Pearls are from Mike's. Oh yeah. The card is humongous at 8.5" x 5.5"!
Thanks for visiting today and stay warm!
