Instructions:

1. Create an A2 card from grey textured cardstock. Set it aside.
2. Ink the Steampunk Grasshopper Train Rubber Stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp it twice — once onto Bristol Paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
3. Heat set the Bristol Paper version to set the ink so you can use alcohol markers to color the image.
4. Use Copic markers to color the Steampunk Grasshopper Train in shades of green. Retrospectively, I should have colored the mechanical capsule engine shape and the steam funnel in shades of olive green to match the train passenger car. Oh well.
5. Fussy-cut the sticker-paper version of the Steampunk Grasshopper Train and place it over it over its counterpart to mask the image.
6. Use a black Multiliner to extend the train tracks line horizontlaly. 
7. Place a piece of acetate on the line and the train so that it covers the top part of the image panel. 
8. Heavily Hoodie Dye Ink (mid grey) over the acetate onto the image panel.
9. Place a hills stencil over the top of the image panel. 
10. Brush the Hoodie Ink lightly over the hills stencil and the masked image to create some background hills behind the train.
11. Place a clouds stencil over the image panel. 
12. Starting at the top of the image panel, brush or sponge Pebbles Dye Ink  (light grey) over the top of the stencil and the masked image onto the image panel.
13. Rotate and/or flip the stencil, move it downwards on the image panel, and brush or sponge the same grey ink over the stencil and the masked image onto the image panel. 
14. Repeat Step 13 until the cloudy sky is just above the hills on the background.
15. Remove both stencils and brush Pebbles Ink over the Cogs stencil and the masked images onto the image panel. 
16. Randomly brush the two shades of grey ink over a discontinued stencil that contained mathematical formulae, lines, and arrows.
17. Trim the image panel to 5" x 3.75" and edge with the dark grey ink. 
18. Mat the image panel with with green textured cardstock that measures 5.25" x 4".
19. Secure the image panel onto the base of a stamping platform. 
20. Position the "Wanderlust" sentiment stamp from the Travel Quotes Rubber Sheet facedown on the top left of the card front as shown. 
21. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
22. Place a piece of acetate over the image panel. 
23. Ink the sentiment stamp with Rain Forest VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp to check that the sentiment is straight and where you want it. 
24. Remove the acetate, ink the stamp again with Rain Forest VFC Ink and stamp. You can re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
25. Remove the image panel from the stamping platform and heat set the image.
26. Adhere the image panel onto a greytextured A2 card.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Use the branches and leaves frame die and the leaves dies from the Woodsy Vibes Die Set 93 to cut Bristol Paper. Retain the center cut out from the frame die to use for the background of the card.
2. Use alcohol markers to color the branches and leaves frame die-cut as well as all of the leaves. Color both sides of the frames to make sure that there are no nasty white edges. Alcohol marker bleed-through will just add to the overall look of the leaves. Set the branches and leaves frame and leaves die-cuts aside.
3. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the witch, the witch kitten, and the moon from the Moonlight Mischief Clear Stamp Set 1295 onto alcohol-ink friendly cardstock. 
4. Fussy-cut all the images and color them with alcohol markers. 
5. Use a black marker or multiliner to edge the die-cuts. 
6. Use a white paint pen to add highlights to the witch's and cat's eyes. 
7. Use the Sparkle Clear Overlay Brush Pen to add sparkle to the colored fussy-cut moon. Set the moon, the cat, and the witch aside.
8. Add low-tack tape to the reverse of the retained Woodsy Vibes center die-cut, then place it onto a magnetic craft surface. 
9. Place the flattest of the Hills Acetate Stencil/Mask Set across the bottom part of the Woodsy Vibes center die-cut so that it's secured by the low-tack tape. You can add magnets to be certain that the die-cut won't move. 
10. Brush Dark Denim Elements Premium Dye Ink over the mask and around the edges of the top part of the die-cut. 
11. Brush  Blue Lagoon Elements Premium Dye Ink over the darker blue, blending as you go. 
12. Add white acrylic paint or bleed-proof white paint to a small container. 
13. Use a pipette to add Pearlescent Glitz Spray from the Glitz Spritz Spray Set  to the white paint. Mix well. 
14. Dip the bristles of a toothbrush into the paint and run a finger across the toothbrush's bristles to splatter white onto the blue background to create a starry sky.
15.  Remove (and clean) the Hills Mask. 
16. Brush Pine Elements Premium Dye Ink onto the bottom part of the die-cut. Heat set the die-cut.
17. Pounce an anti-static pouch onto the die-cut, then place it onto the base of a stamping platform secured with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
18. Place the "Moonlight Mischief" sentiment stamp facedown onto the lower right hand corner of the die-cut. 
19. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the sentiment stamp and lift.
20. Ink the sentiment stamp with Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. 
21. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression. 
22. Remove the die-cut from the stamping platform, pour Clear Gloss Embossing Powder onto the wet ink, dump the excess back into its container, and heat set the powder.
23. Adhere the colored branches and leaves frame die-cut to a white speckled blue card that measures slightly larger than the die-cut.
24. Adhere the inked and stamped Woodsy Vibes center die-cut back into the aperture of the frame. 
25. Adhere the colored fussy-cut witch, the witch cat, and the moon as shown to finish the card.

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from grey textured cardstock. Set aside.
2. Ink the Steampunk Balloon Guys Rubber Stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp it twice — once onto white Copic-friendly cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
3. Use Copic markers to color the airship and the Steampunk Balloon in shades of grey. 
4. Fussy-cut the sticker-paper version and place it over it over its counterpart to mask the image. 
5. Place a clouds stencil over the image panel. 
6. Starting at the top of the image panel, brush or Della Blue Elements Ink over the top of the stencil and the masked image onto the image panel. 
7. Rotate and/or flip the stencil, move it downwards on the image panel, and brush or sponge the same blue ink over the stencil and the masked image onto the image panel.
8. Continue this process (steps 6 and 7)  until you have a cloudy blue sky. 
9. Trim the image panel to 4.75" x 6". 
10. Edge it with the Della Blue Ink used for stenciling.
11. Secure the image panel onto the base of a stamping platform. 
12. Position the sentiment stamp from the Travel Quotes Rubber Sheet facedown under the Steampunk Balloon. 
13. Press the stamping platform's lid onto the back of the sentiment stamp and lift.
14. Place a piece of acetate over the image panel. 
15. Ink the sentiment stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp to check that the sentiment is straight and where you want it. 
16. Remove the acetate, ink the stamp again with Nocturne VFC Ink and stamp.
17.  You can re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
18. Remove the image panel from the stamping platform and heat set the image.
19. Adhere the image panel onto the reserved grey A6 card.

Greetings! Here's my weekly project created for Topflight Stamps, albeit a bit late. This week's theme is 'Anything Goes' and since it's the most wonderful time of the year, I've made another Halloween card, this time with products by by Lavinia Stamps. Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create a 6" square card from textured black cardstock. Set aside.
2. Cut a piece of Mixed Media paper to 6" x 7" and secure it to a magnetic platform with magnets and/or low-tack tape to start the image panel. 
3. Secure the cave-like stencil from the Autumn Mist Collection of Four Stencils about 1" from the bottom of the panel. 
4. Brush Soft Cygnet Elements Premium Dye Ink over the stencil onto the image panel. 
5. Brush Graphite Elements Premium Dye Ink over the stencil onto the image panel.
6. Slide a 6" piece of acetate under the stencil so that it sits horizontally at the base of the center circle of the stencil and extends to the edges. Secure the acetate with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
7. Brush Dark Denim Elements Premium Dye Ink over the acetate and the Autumn Mist Stencil around the edges of the panel. 
8. Brush Blue Lagoon Elements Premium Dye Ink over the acetate and the Autumn Mist Stencil, blending as you go. 
9. Repeat with both blue inks until you're happy with the color and blending. 
10. Use a water-filled Fine Spray Mister to mist the background. Remove the stencil and the acetate and heat set the image panel.
11. Clean the acetate and place it horizontally across the image panel so it's covering the top part.
12.  Lightly brush Pine Elements Premium Dye Ink over the acetate to cover the bottom part of the image panel.
13. Use a small brush to apply Blue Lagoon Elements Premium Dye Ink around the inside of the circle "cave" opening. 
14. Use a small brush to apply Merlot Elements Premium Dye Ink next to the Blue Lagoon Ink. 
15. Brush Marmalady Elements Premium Dye Ink vertically in the center of the circle "cave". 
16. Brush Anna Banana Elements Premium Dye Ink on either side of the orange ink. 
17. Touch up the "cave" circle as needed.
18. Thoroughly heat set the image panel. 
19. Place the image panel onto a stamping platform. 
20. Position the Arwen, Penelope, and Prue Clear Polymer Stamps facedown on the image panel. 
21. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamps and lift.
22. Ink the stamps with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain good impressions. 
23. Remove the image panel from the stamping platform and thoroughly heat set the stamped images.
24. Brush Merlot Elements Premium Dye Ink under Penelope's feet and between the gaps in the base of the circle "cave". 
25. Lightly brush Graphite Elements Ink over the Merlot Elements Premium Dye Ink to deepen the color and ground Penelope.
26. Brush Merlot Elements Premium Dye Ink under Arwen, Penelope. and the base of the Autumn Mist to create shadows under them. 
27. Also brush the Merlot Ink onto some of the larger white splotches on the "sky" background.
28. Dip a small paint brush into water and apply the water to the inside of Arwen's lantern, the globe of Prue's staff, and to add a line and three dots above the globe. 
29. Dab a piece of paper towel onto the water to remove the ink. 
30. Use yellow and orange watercolor pens to color the lantern, globe, the "flame" and some sparks.
31. Punch a 1" hole in a piece of acetate. 
32. Position the acetate onto the top center of the image panel. 
33. Sponge Moonlight White Brilliance Ink onto the aperture to create a moon.
34. Heat set the wet ink. 
35. Replace the acetate so the circle is enclosing the inked moon. 
36. Brush Pearlescent White PanPastel on the moon to make it shiny.
37. Trim the image panel to 5.75" square. 
38. Adhere the sentiment stickers as shown. 
39. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to edge the image panel.
40. Adhere the image panel to the reserved 6" square black card.

Instructions:

1. Create an A2 card from black textured cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure a panel of Mixed Media paper to the base of a stamping platform.
3. Place the Dreaded Damask Cling Rubber Stamp facedown on the panel.
4. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
5. Ink the Dreaded Damask Cling Rubber Stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp to create the image panel. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.*
6. Remove the panel from the stamping platform and heat set the panel thoroughly.
7. Brush Lemon Drop Elements Premium Dye Ink onto the center of the stamped panel.
8. Brush Sundance Elements Ink onto the panel slightly overlapping both sides. 
9. Brush Russet Orange Elements Ink on both sides of the darker yellow inked area. 
10. Continue this pattern using Mulberry, Merlot, and Flying Fig Elements Inks. 
11. Heat set the panel, trim, edge with a black pen, and set it aside.
12. Place a panel of Solar White cardstock onto a the base of a stamping platform. 
13. Place the Skull n Roses Unmounted Rubber Stamp facedown onto the cardstock.
14. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
15. Ink the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp. 
16. Fussy-cut the image, color with alcohol markers, edge with a black marker, and set it aside.
17. Brush a strip of Mixed Media paper with Lemon Drop Elements Premium Dye Ink. Heat set. 
18. Pounce an anti-static pad onto the inked strip. 
19. Secure the inked strip onto the base of a stamping platform.
20. Position the "Spooky" sentiment from the Halloween Collection Clear Stamp Set 1 by Melina Dahl facedown onto the strip. 
21. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
22. Ink the sentiment stamp with Russet Orange Elements Ink and stamp. *
23. Remove the strip from the stamping platform.
24. Add Clear Gloss Embossing Powder to the wet ink. 
25. Pour the excess powder back into the container. 
26. Heat set the embossing powder. 
27. Let the heated powder cool, then use a Sentiment Frame Die Set to cut the sentiment. 
28. Edge the interior part of the die-cut with Flying Fig Elements Premium Dye Ink. Heat set. 
29. Use the same die to cut textured black cardstock.
30. Adhere the Dreaded Damask to the reserved black textured A2 card. 
31. Adhere the colored, fussy-cut Skull n Roses as shown. 
32. Adhere the framed sentiment to finish the card.

Notes:

• At some time I must have scratched the rubber on the Dreaded Damask Cling Rubber Stamp. Sadly, there's no way to repair it, short of replacing it. Fortunately, the stamp's got a "grunge" vibe, so the result isn't totally heinous.
• Elements Premium Dye Inks by Lavinia Stamps are so versatile. They're great for stamping, blending inks, stenciling, using on a Gel Press, and heat embossing! There are two new colors and re-inkers available at Topflight Stamps!

Notes: 

• I wanted to use the "no-lines" coloring technique to color the beautiful large sunflower from the Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set TE33 so I used Dandelion and Canteloupe Memento Ink to stamp it.
• The Ombre 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium is no longer available, but thought that the primarily orange paper from the Ink Drops - Sunset 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium would be a good substitute.

Instructions:

1. Place a panel of white cardtock onto the base of a stamping platform.
2. Place the large from the Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set TE33 facedown onto the center of the cardstock panel.
3. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
4. Use Canteloupe Memento Inks to ink the center of the sunflower stamp.
5. Use Dandelion Memento Ink to ink the petals of the sunflower stamp.
6. Stamp the sunflower.
7. Repeat Steps 4-6 to make sure to attain a good impression of the sunflower stamp.
8. Use Copic markers to color the sunflower.
9. Use the largest die from the Polaroid Pop Die Set DI-89 to cut the image panel. 
10. Use blue Copic markers to the fill in the area around the sunflower with overlapping blue dots to create a pointillistic background. 
11. Place the image panel die-cut back onto the stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
12. Position the beetle and the bee stamps from the Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set TE33 facedown on the image panel die-cut. 
13. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the insect stamps and lift.
14. Ink both stamps with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. 
15. Remove the beetle stamp, then clean and dry the bee stamp thoroughly.
16. Reposition the bee stamp facedown in another place on the image panel die-cut. 
17. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the bee stamp and lift.
18. Ink the bee stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. 
19. Heat set the image panel die-cut.
20. Use a red Sharpie marker to add red dots and lines to the beetle. 
21. Use a white gel pen to add white to his eyes. 
22. When dry, add green pupils atop the white gel ink. 
23. Use a clear glaze pen to add dimension and shine to the beetle's body. Let the glaze gel ink dry, then add another layer to build up the dimension to its body.
24. Use a yellow marker to add yellow to the bees' bodies. 
25. Use a Sparkle Clear Overlay Brush Pen to add glitter to the bees' wings. 
26. Set the image panel die-cut aside.
27. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 4" x 6" to create the background panel. 
28. Use Russet Orange Elements Premium Dye Ink to stamp the small sunflower onto the background panel. 
29. Secure the stamped background panel to the base of a stamping platform.
30. Position the "Best Wishes" sentiment stamp from the Flower Power Clear Stamp Set TE37 by Tracy Evans Boutique facedown towards the bottom of the background panel. 
31. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
32. Ink the sentiment stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
33. Edge the background panel with  Russet Orange Elements Premium Dye Ink and Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink. 
34. Heat set the background panel. 
35. Adhere the image panel die-cut to the background panel as shown.
36. Adhere the background panel to a 4" x 6" black card.

A Scenic Card

 It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday and an "Anything Goes" week. I missed last week's "Outdoors" theme since I've been sick since mid-July with a rashy ick, cause unknown. I hope that I get answers this week and to be taken off the antibiotics which are whipping my itchy butt. Poor, poor pitiful me.

This card features products by Lavinia Stamps to create an outdoors scene. I've used the Acorn Abode Clear Polymer Stamp, the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp, Dana Clear Polymer Stamp, and the Texture 2 Clear Polymer Stamp with six colors of Elements Premium Dye Ink and the ever-so-useful Hills Acetate Mask.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from black textured cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Acorn Abode Clear Polymer Stamp twice — once on panel of Bristol paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
3. Heat set the image stamped onto the Bristol paper, which will become the image panel. 
4. Fussy-cut the sticker-paper version and adhere it atop its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
5. Place the flatttest mask from the Hills Acetate Mask just above the rocks so that it's covering the bottom of the image panel. 
6. Brush Soft Cygnet Elements Premium Dye Inkover the top of the Hills Acetate mask and around the masked Acorn Abode. 
7. Next brush Lemon Drop Elements Premium Dye Ink onto the image panel blending the ink colors as you go. 
8. Continue this process with the Lime Punch, Pine, and Olive Elements Premium Dye Inks working from the center of the image panel outwards. 
9. Use a water-filled Fine Spray Mister to mist the image panel to add some white speckles and splatter. 
10. Remove the Hills Acetate Mask and heat set the panel.
11. Trace the Hills Acetate Mask onto scrap cardstock or thin acetate, cut along the traced line, and place the upper part of the temporary mask to cover the top part of the image panel.
12. Brush Bermuda Elements Premium Dye Ink over the temporary mask to ground the masked Acorn Abode. 
13. Press the Texture 2 Clear Polymer Stamp onto the Bermuda Elements Premium Dye Inkpad and randomly stamp over the temporary mask and the masked Acorn Abode to add texture and interest to the inked ground.
14. Remove the temporary mask and the mask from the Acorn Abode. Color the image with Copic markers. Trim the image panel to 4.25" x 6".
15. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure the image panel onto a stamping platform so that it's against the bottom, but centered horizontally. 
16. Place the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp facedown onto the right side of the panel so that it's a bit over the right edge. 
17. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
18. Ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Remember that you can always re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
19. Clean and dry the stamp. 
20. Position the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp facedown in the center of the image panel, but with the end of the stamp slightly above the stamped Hanging Lanterns. 
21. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
22. Ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Make sure that the image panel didn't move before inking and stamping again. Unlike me. Oops.
23. Repeat the above steps with the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp positioned along the left edge with the bottom of the stamp above the other two stamped impressions.
24. Position the Dana Fairy Clear Polymer Stamp facedown on the image panel so that her feet and hand are on the stem of the Acorn Abode. 
25. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
26. Ink the stamp with  Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
27. Remove the image panel from the stamping platform and thoroughly heat set it.
28. Use watercolor pens to color the Hanging Lanterns and Dana's wings and lantern. 
29. Use a yellow glitter marker to add yellow glitter to the dots in the Hanging Lanterns and a black glitter marker to add glitter to the dots around the lanterns.
30. Edge the image panel with Bermuda and Pine Elements Premium Dye Inks, then edge again with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
31. Finish by adhering the image panel to the reserved A6 black textured card.
