Happy Birthday!

Well, it looks like the mice are better at popping popcorn than I am! I always, and I mean always, burn it. In fact, I've set it on fire. I wonder if that's why I'm not a huge popcorn fan.

Pink and Yellow Cardstock

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of Gingerbread Vintage Double Dot patterned paper to 5.5" x 8.5", score, and fold to create an A2 card. Edge the card with Distress ink.
  2. Stamp the image onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers.
  3. Cut the image panel to 4.75" x 3.5"/
  4. Cut the pink cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 5/8".
  5. Cut the yellow cardstock to 5 1/8" x 3 7/8".
  6. Double mat the image panel as shown. Set aside.
  7. Cut a strip of yellow cardstock to 1.25" x 5.5" and die-cut with the scalloped die from the Spring Borders set.
  8. Die-cut the same yellowstrip with the heart border from the Spring Borders set.
  9. Cut a strip of pink cardstock so that the yellow scalloped/heart border will fit. 
  10. Adhere the die-cut border onto the pink cardstock. 
  11. Cut the matted border strip in half. 
  12. Adhere both sides of the border so that they are flush with the edge of the card.
  13. Adhere the image panel over the split border, then edge the entire card with Distress ink.

Instructions:


  1. Make a 6" x 6" card from brown cardstock.
  2. Layer patterned paper as shown, trimmed to 5.75" square, and adhere to card.
  3. Die-cut frame from red cardstock with a die from the Peekaboo Rectangle Die set.
  4. Die-cut heart border from red cardstock with a die from the Layered Heart Border Die set.
  5. Resize and print No Place Like Home digital image and print onto Neenah cardstock using a laser printer.
  6. Color with Copic markers.
  7. Frame the image panel with the red die-cut and adhere to the card.
  8. Adhere the heart border die over the seam between the floral and striped papers.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of 8.5" x 11" green cardstock to 6 1/8" to 8.25". Score and fold to create an A6 card.
  2. Stamp Cat Yoga onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers. 
  3. Use Copic markers to create a wooden floor under Yoga Cat's mat.
  4. Cut the image panel to 2 7/8" x 4.75".
  5. Cut a piece of green daisy paper to 3 3/8" x 5.25". Edge with green marker.
  6. Cut a piece of green cardstock to 3.5" x 5 3/8".
  7. Cut a piece of Wasabi Double Dot paper to 3 7/8" x 5 7/8" and edge with a green marker
  8. Use a Post-It Note to cover "I Love" and the exclamation point from the "I Love Meow! sentiment from the Cat Sayings set. Ink the stamp, remove the Post-It Notes, and stamp in the center of a thin strip of the left over green daisy cardstock. 
  9. Using the Tiny Typewriter alphabet stamp the "Na" and "set" on either side of the "Meow".
  10. Using one of the dies from the Fitted Frames Die Set, die-cut the sentiment, then edge with a green marker.
  11. Using the corresponding die that is slightly larger, die-cut green cardstock.
  12. Assemble the card as shown.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of 8.5" x 11" yellow cardstock in half, score, and fold to create an A2 card.
  2. Stamp Cure All Tea onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers.
  3. Add Clear Glaze gel pen to the drops of lemon juice. Repeat to build dimension and gloss.
  4. Add Red glitter pen to the cayenne that the House-Mouse is sprinkling into the tea.
  5. Cut image panel to 4" x 2.75".
  6. Cut yellow cardstock to 4 1/8" X 2 7/8" and mat the image panel.
  7. Cut a strip of peachy orange daisy-patterned paper to 7/8" x 5.25".
  8. Cut yellow cardstock to 1" x 5.25" and mat the daisy strip with it.
  9. Cut Gingham paper to 4 5/8" x 3 3/8".
  10. Cut yellow cardstock to 4.75" x 3.5" and use to mat gingham paper.
  11. Cut the Double Dot paper to 4" x 5.25".
  12. Assemble the card as shown.

Mischievous Kitties

About a year ago, I would have found this scene to be a bit more humorous. But that was before we adopted a pair of very naughty kittens. They love climbing things and being up high and especially like to climb the macramé shades in the family room, where they get stuck up at the top. They're lucky they're cute and affectionate or I'd leave them there.

  2. Stamp the House-Mouse™ image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and color with Copic markers. Color the background as well.
  3. Cut the image panel to 4.5" x 3".
  4. Cut grey cardstock to 4 5/8" x 3 1/8" and mat the image panel
  5. Using Shadow Grey Archival ink, stamp the Script stamp onto light blue cardstock.
  6. Trim the stamped blue cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and edge with Shadow Grey ink.
  7. Assemble the card as shown.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of 8.5" x 11" Wasabi Vintage Double Dot Paper in half, score, and fold to create an A2 card. Edge the card with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.
  2. Using a stamping platform, arrange the focal image, a bee, and the sentiment as desired. Secure white cardstock using magnets, ink the stamps, and stamp. Repeat if necessary to create a good impression.
  3. Color the image with Copic markers.
  4. Trim the image panel to 3.5" x 4".
  5. Cut the yellow Gingham paper to 3.75" x 4.25" and 1.25" x 5.5".
  6. Cut Wasabi Vintage Double Dot Paper to 3 5/8 " x 4 1/8" and 1 3/8" x 5.5". Edge both pieces with Mowed Lawn Distress ink.
  7. Assemble the card as shown, then sponge the edges of the card with Mowed Lawn Distress ink.

Instructions:
  1. Stamp the flower from the Hummingbird Wishes set onto white cardstock.
  2. Color the flower with Copic markers.
  3. Die-cut the image with the circle die that will fit inside the indentation of the tin.
  4. Color the background with the BG01 Copic marker.
  5. Stamp the little dotted circle from the Hummingbird Wishes set around the flower.
  6. Measure the circumference and the height of the base of the tin and cut a piece of blue cardstock to fit.
  7. Stamp the border from the Icons set and color as shown. 
  8. Adhere the circle to the lid of the the tin and the stamped strip along the bottom of the tin.

Iris Play

Can you believe that I've got two cards on my blog on one day? That's because the Stampendous DT ladies are hopping along with the design team at  House-Mouse and Friends Challenge blog. The theme of the hop is Love and Valentines, but I stretched the meaning a bit to include things I love.

Did you know that my favorite flower is the Iris? I love all the various varieties, but my favorite one is the classic blue iris. So when I saw the super-cute House-Mouse Designs™ Iris Play stamp, I had to get it.

Here's my first card with it.

  3. Die-cut blue cardstock with the slightly larger die from the same die set.
  4. Cut Blueberry patterned paper to 4" x 5.25". Edge with a blue marker.
  5. Assemble the card as shown.

  5. Color the image with Copic markers.
  6. Trim the image panel to 3.75" x 4.75".
