Iris Play

Can you believe that I've got two cards on my blog on one day? That's because the Stampendous DT ladies are hopping along with the design team at  House-Mouse and Friends Challenge blog. The theme of the hop is Love and Valentines, but I stretched the meaning a bit to include things I love.

Did you know that my favorite flower is the Iris? I love all the various varieties, but my favorite one is the classic blue iris. So when I saw the super-cute House-Mouse Designs™ Iris Play stamp, I had to get it.

Here's my first card with it.

Supplies:
Stampendous Supplies:
House-Mouse Designs™ Iris Play Rubber Stamp
Fitted Frames B Cutting Die Set
Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink by Tsukineko

Other Supplies Used:
Copic Markers:
   Mouse Skin: BV000, E50, E51, E93, R20
   Mouse Fur: E31, E33, E35, E47, E53, E57
Iris: B60, Solar White Classic Crest® Cardstock by Neenah Papers
Blueberry Vintage Double-Dot Design by BoBunny Press®
Comodore Blue cardstock by My Papers

Instructions:

  1. Fold a piece of Comodore Blue cardstock in half, score, and fold to create an A2 card.
  2. Stamp Iris Play onto white cardstock, color with Copic markers, and die-cut with one of the dies from the Fitted Frames B die set.
  3. Die-cut blue cardstock with the slightly larger die from the same die set.
  4. Cut Blueberry patterned paper to 4" x 5.25". Edge with a blue marker.
  5. Assemble the card as shown.
