Anything Goes with the Swinging Gnome!

Instructions:
  1. Use both cutting dies from the Forest Glade Die Set to cut white cardstock. Set the tree frame die-cut aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Swinging Gnome Rubber Stamp twice — once onto the plain die-cut and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
  3. Use Copic markers to color the gnome, branch, and swing. 
  4. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the stamped gnome and place it over its counterpart on the die-cut image panel as a mask.
  5. Brush or sponge Tumbled Glass Distress Ink over the masked image onto the top part of the image panel die-cut. 
  6. Brush or sponge Bundled Sage Distress Ink lightly over the bottom part of the image panel die-cut. 
  7. Lightly mist the image panel die-cut with Isopropyl Alcohol to blend and mottle the inked background. Set the image panel die-cut aside.
  8. Cut repositionable sticker paper with the bottom section of the tree frame die.
  9.  Cut the mushrooms so that they're free of the frame. Place the sticker paper mushrooms over their counterparts on the tree frame die-cut to mask them.
  10. Sponge or brush Gathered Twigs Distress Ink over the the tree frame die-cut.
  11. Use a stipple brush to pounce Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the frame to add visual interest to the frame. 
  12. Adhere the tree frame die-cut over the reserved gnome image panel die-cut.
  13. Edge the tree frame die-cut with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. 
  14. Unmask the mushrooms and color them with Copic markers. 
  15. Use a white gel pen to add white dots to the mushroom caps. Set the tree frame die-cut aside.
  16. Create an A6 card from heavy white cardstock. 
  17. Sponge Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink over the entire panel. Heat set.
  18. Place the Woodland Forest stencil over the card. 
  19. Brush Gathered Twigs Distress Ink over the stencil onto the card. 
  20. Use a smaller brush to apply Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the edges of the trees and twigs on the stencil onto the card. 
  21. Sponge Pumice Stone Distress Oxide Ink over the stones on the bottom of the stencil onto the card. Heat set the card.
  22. Use chalk pencils to add shading and grounding to the stones and tree trunks.
  23. Adhere the focal tree frame die-cut to the card as shown.
  24. Heavily edge the card with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to finish the card.

Cheers!

It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday with an "Anything Goes" theme so I created a card celebrating a favorite pasttime with the Village Pub Clear Stamp Set from the Architectural Collection by Jamie Rodgers for Creative Expressions. I also used the Spring Sprouts Die Set 49 by AALL and Create and the Grunge Midtones 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium.

Instructions:
  1. Create an A6 card from white heavy cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the pub scene from the Village Pub Clear Stamp Set twice — once onto white Copic friendly cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. 
  3. Use Copic markers to color the pub, trees, and foliage. 
  4. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
  5. Position the largest die from the Spring Sprouts Die Set 49 facedown on the image panel and secure with low-tack tape. Run sandwich through a die-cut machine. 
  6. Trim the bottom off of the die-cut.
  7. Brush or sponge Della Blue Elements Ink over the masked image to create a blue sky. 
  8. Use an Isopropyl alcohol filled Fine Spray Mister  to mist the image panel die-cut. This step evens out the blended ink and adds a slight mottling to the ink.
  9. Remove the mask from the image panel die-cut. 
  10. Finish coloring the patio with toner grey Copic markers. 
  11. Cut a piece of patterned paper from the Grunge Midtones 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad to 6" x 4.25" and edge with a black marker.
  12. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure the patterned paper background to the base of a stamping platform.
  13. Position the wine glass stamp from the Village Pub Clear Stamp Set facedown on the image panel die-cut so that it's slightly tilted on the bottom right corner. 
  14. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  15. Ink the wine glass stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp.
  16. Thoroughly clean and dry the wine glass stamp.
  17. Position the wine glass stamp so that it's facedown and slightly tilted towards the already stamped wine glass.
  18. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  19. Ink the wine glass stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp. 
  20. Remove the wine glass stamp.
  21. Position the"Cheers!" sentiment stamp from the Village Pub Clear Stamp Set on the upper left corner as shown.
  22. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  23. Ink the sentiment stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp. 
  24. Use Copic markers to cut color the wine in the glasses. 
  25. Use a white colored pencil to add highlights to the wine glasses.
  26. Adhere the stamped background panel to the reserved white card.
  27. Use glue to add irridescent white sequins above the wine glasses to finish the card.

Fly Away, A Spring Card

Instructions:
  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Bird with Flower image from the Lighted Florals Clear Stamp Set 709  twice — once onto Bristol Paper and again onto repositionable sticker paper.
  2. Heat set the Bristol Paper version then color it with Copic markers. Use a white gel pen to add catchlights to the bird's eye and to add some highlights to the berries.
  3. Fussy-cut the sticker paper stamped image and adhere it over its counterpart as a mask. 
  4. Brush or sponge Tumbled Glass Distress Ink over the masked image to create a blue sky background. 
  5. Use a a water-filled Fine Spray Mister to mist the image panel with water to add some drops and speckles to the background. 
  6. Heat set the image panel and set it aside.
  7. Cut a piece of black textured cardstock with the largest die from the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangle Die Set
  8. Position the third largest die facedown on the rectangle die-cut and secure it with low-tack tape. 
  9. Run this sandwich through your die-cut machine to cut out the center portion, creating a frame. 
  10. Use the gold marker from the Colorista Essential Metallic Marker Set to edge the outside of the frame. 
  11. Place the frame into a box and spray the frame with Cactus Gold from the Glitz Spray Set. Heat set the frame.
  12. Adhere the frame over the reserved image panel. 
  13. Cut a piece of black cardstock to 7" x 10", score it at 5", and fold it to create a card. 
  14. Adhere the framed image panel so that it's 1/8" from the top and left side of the card. 
  15. Trim the right edge to even things out.

Instructions:
  1. Create an A6 card from black textured cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the dancing meerkat from the Meerkats Unmounted Red Rubber Unmounted Stamp Set twice — once onto a piece of Bristol Paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Heat set the Bristol Paper version.
  3. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
  4. Position the umbrella stamp from the Funny Accessories Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set facedown on the image panel so that its handle is on the Meerkat's hand and the umbrella is over his head. 
  5. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  6. Ink the umbrella stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp it twice— once onto a piece of Bristol Paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Heat set the Bristol paper version.
  7. Remove the the mask from the Meerkat and set it aside to re-use in a little while.
  8. Use Copic markers to color the Meerkat and his umbrella. 
  9. Use a black pen to increase the size of his pupils. 
  10. Use a White Gelly Roll Gel Pen to add catchlights to his pupils.
  11. Place the sticker paper mask back over the Meerkat.
  12. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the umbrella and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
  13. Use the second largest die from the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangle Die Set to cut the image panel. 
  14. Place the image panel die-cut onto a magnetic craft mat. 
  15. Position one of the hills masks from the Mini Hills Acrylic Mask/Stencils so that it's covering the Meerkat's feet and part of his tail. 
  16. Secure the mask in place with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
  17. Brush Stormy Sky and Weathered Wood Distress Inks over the the Mini Hills Acrylic Mask and the masked images onto the image panel die-cut to add a gloomy sky. 
  18. Use a water-filled Fine Spray Misters to mist the image panel to add white splats and splatter. Heat set the image panel die-cut.
  19. Trace the Mini Hills Acrylic Mask onto a piece of scrap cardstock. 
  20. Cut the cardstock along the tracing line to create temporary homemade masks.
  21. Place the top section of the cardstock mask over the sky and the masked Meerkat
  22. Brush Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks over the paper stencil onto the imamge panel die-cut to create a grassy hill background. 
  23. Tear a piece of scrap cardstock. 
  24. Brush the Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink over the torn edge of the cardstock to add shading and shadows below the Meerkat
  25. Retain the two pieces of the traced Mini Hills Acrylic Mask for another use.
  26. Position the image panel die-cut onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
  27. Position the Water Wall Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp facedown along the right side of the image panel die-cut. 
  28. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  29. Ink the Water Wall stamp with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
  30. Remove the image panel die-cut and use Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink to edge it.  Heat set image panel die-cut.
  31. Use a Clear Gloss Glaze Gel Pen to highlight the grey-stamped waterdrops, the white spots created when the panel was misted, and areas of the grassy hill.
  32. Adhere the image panel die-cut to the reserved black A6 card. 
  33. Choose the sentiment stickers you'd like to use and edge them with the black Pigma pen, 
  34. Add the sentiment stickers to finish the card.
