Catula says "It's Halloween!"

Instructions:
  1. Fold an 8.5" x 5.5" piece of Velvet Night cardstock in half to form an A2 card.
  2. Cut a piece of Velvet Night cardstock to 4" x 5.25".
  3. Using VersaMark ink, stamp the Clock Collage onto the navy cardstock. Add Kaleidoscope Sparkly Embossing Powder, dump off the excess, and heat set.
  4. Sponge the edges with VersaMark ink, drag them through a pile of Kaleidoscope Sparkly Embossing Powder, shake off the excess, then heat set. Set the card front aside.
  5. Using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, stamp Count Catula onto white cardstock and onto thin paper.
  6. Color the cardstock version with Copic markers. 
  7. Fussy-cut the thin paper version of Count Catula and adhere over his counterpart using repositionable adhesive.
  8. Use Post-It Notes to cover the base of the image.
  9. Airbrush the sky background with B37, B66, B99 Copic markers.
  10. Apply some Titanium White paint to a craft mat. Press a toothbrush into the wet paint, then run a credit card over the paint brush to splatter white paint over the dark airbrushed background.
  11. Lift the masks and color the ground.
  12. Die-cut the image and a piece of black metallic cardstock with a pair of the dies from the Fitted Frames A Die Set.
  13. Mat the image die-cut onto the metallic black die cut.
  14. Using VersaMark Ink, stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of navy cardstock. Add Detail White Embossing Powder, dump off the excess, and heat set.
  15. Die-cut the sentiment and a scrap of the black metallic cardstock with a pair of the dies from the Fitted Frames A Die Set.
  16. Mat the sentiment die-cut with the metallic black die-cut.
  17. Adhere the image panel and the sentiment to the card front.
  18. Adhere the card front to the A2 card.

Instructions:
  1. Stamp Llama with Tuxedo Black ink, color with Copic markers, fussy-cut, and then edge with a black pen.
  2. Apply double-sided tape to vellum and die-cut with the speech bubble die.
  3. Stamp sentiment onto the bubble using Palette@ Noir ink.
  4. Cut blue patterned paper to 5.5" x 4.5"
  5. Die-cut green patterned paper with the border dies, sponge the edges with Distress inks.
  6. Layer border die-cuts and adhere to card front. Trim the card front to 4.25", then adhere to an A2 card.
  7. Adhere the sentiment thought bubble, trim off the top and outline with a thin black pen.
  8. Adhere the llavender llama!

H is for Hello from the Hedgehog!

Neenah cardstock
Ivory cardstock
Botanical Tea and Children's Hour Patterned paper by Graphic 45
Tim Holtz® Ground Espresso Distress ink by Ranger

Instructions:
  1. Create an A2 card out of ivory cardstock.
  2. Using Memento ink, stamp the Happy Hedgehog onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers. 
  3. Die-cut image panel with one of the dies from the set and use Copics to create a background.
  4. Die-cut pink patterned paper with the next largest die from the Fitted Frames B Die set and edge with Distress ink.
  5. Mat the image panel with the pink patterned paper.
  6. Cut the brown patterned paper to 4" wide.
  7. Cut the floral patterned paper to 3" wide and edge with Distress ink.
  8. Adhere the floral patterned paper over the brown patterned paper as shown and trim to 5.25". Edge all four sides with Distress ink.
  9. Adhere the image panel as shown.
  10. Die-cut the ribbon flower Spring Border from pink patterned paper. Thread ribbon through the die-cut and adhere to the card front.
  11. Using Ground Espresso Distress ink stamp "Hello" from the  Greetings Galore Perfectly Clear™ stamp set onto pink cardstock, then die-cut with one of the dies from the  Fitted Frames B Die set.
  12. Edge both die-cuts with Distress ink and adhere to the threaded ribbon border.

Hot! Hot! Hot!

This week C.C. Designs is the sponsor at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends. When I went to select an digi stamp, I fell in love with Roberto's Rascals Grouchy Heatwave Digital stamp. The kitty's expression just made me smile and I figured he'd be perfect to use during the summer.


I also used The Stamp Doctor's new A2 Layers Combo Die set. These two sets contain 18 dies that let you create perfectly matted layers for your A2 card.

Instructions: 
  1. Resize image and print onto Neenah cardstock using a laser printer.
  2. Color with Copic markers.
  3. Use a craft knife to cut around the tail, then slide one of the dies from the A2 Layers Combo Die set under the cat's tail and die-cut. 
  4. Use the die that is 1/8" larger to die-cut the orange/yellow polka-dotted Very Vintage patterned paper.
  5. Trim the piece of sun-printed paper and mat with the orange/yellow gingham paper.
  6. Adhere all elements to a 5" square card as shown.

Directions:

  1. Stamp image with Memento® ink onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers.
  2. Trim the image panel, mat with teal patterned paper, then edge with Black Soot Distress ink.
  3. Using the border die, die-cut the yellow and pink patterned paper, then edge the die-cuts with Black Soot Distress Ink.
  4. Layer the border dies onto blue patterned paper, and add a strip of pale blue patterned paper along the bottom edge. 
  5. Trim a piece of brown patterned paper to 5.5" x 4.5".
  6. Adhere the layered die-cut strip to the brown patterned paper, trim to 4.25", edge with Distress ink, then adhere to an A2 card.
  7. Adhere the image panel to the card.

Instructions:
  1. Stamp Sail Cup onto white cardstock with Memento ink. 
  2. Color the mice and the scene with Copic markers. Use the pink chalk pencil to add color to the cheeks and ears of the mice.
  3. Stamp the banner from the Sugar Skull Cling Stamps and Dies Set onto green cardstock, then die-cut with the banner die.
  4. Using the Small Typewriter Alphabet Perfect Clear™ Stamp Set, stamp the sentiment onto the die-cut banner, then color the shaded areas of the banner with the darkest green Copic marker.
  5. Double mat the image panel with green cardstock and adhere it to a green A2 card. 
  6. Adhere the stamped sentiment banner to the card as shown, so that it is overlapping the matted image panel.

  1. Create a 5" x 7" card from Kraft cardstock.
  2. Stamp House-Mouse Designs™ Keeping Cool Stamp onto white cardstock.
  3. Color the image with Copic markers, add pink pencil to the cheeks and ears, then die-cut the image panel using one of the dies from the Fitted Frames B Die Cut Set.
  4. Die-cut white cardstock with the next largest die from the Fitted Frames B Die Cut Set.
  5. Mat the image panel with the white cardstock.
  6. Using the stamp tool, stamp the sentiment with black ink as shown.
  7. Add the matted image panel to complete the card.

  2. Color the mice and the scene with Copic markers. Use the pink chalk pencil to add color to the cheeks and ears of the mice.
  3. Die-cut the image panel using one of the dies from the Fitted Frames B Die Cut Set.
  4. Die-cut yellow cardstock using the next largest of the dies from the Fitted Frames B Die Cut Set.
  5. Mat the image panel with the yellow die-cut.
  6. Cut the patterned paper to 6" x 12 square, fold to form a card, then sponge the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
  7. Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of the patterned paper using the Small Typewriter Alphabet Perfect Clear Stamp Set with Palette Noir Black ink.
  8. Die-cut the sentiment using one of the dies from the Fitted Frames B Die Cut Set.
  9. Die-cut yellow cardstock using the next largest of the dies from the Fitted Frames B Die Cut Set.
  10. Adhere the matted image panel and sentiment die-cuts to the card.

  2. Fussy-cut and edge with a black marker.
  3. Trim a scrap of patterned paper* and edge with Black Soot Distress ink.
  4. Cut, score, and fold a piece of green cardstock.
  5. Adhere patterned paper and adhere image panel.
  6. Ta-Dah. Done!
*My patterned paper was actually a scrap of hoarded patterned paper from years ago. It had cocktails on it and was cheerful, so I kept it. I might actually have whole sheets of it too since I'm a packrat.

Instructions:
  1. Stamp Ronnie with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, die-cut with a square die, then color with Copic markers.
  2. Add several layers of Clear Gelly Glaze pen to the drinks.
  3. Die-cut Kraft cardstock using the Side Step Card die.
  4. Measure the panels of the card, cut the clocks, lightbulb, and key papers accordingly, the adhere to the Side Step card.
  5. Die-cut Cheers from a scrap of teal cardstock and adhere to the panel as shown.
  6. Adhere the stamped colored image to finish the card.
