  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Nutcracker from the ENB06 Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set  onto white cardstock.
  2. Fussy-cut the nutcracker, including his wrists and hands so that he can hold the gift card.
  3. Use Copic markers to color the image, then use a black pen to edge it.
  4. Use the large tag die from the Large Tag, ATC, and Flower Die Set to cut two identical pieces of patterned paper from the Distress Plaid 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad. You need two pieces of the same paper because the die is larger than 8".
  5. Cut the bottom 2" off of one of the die-cuts.
  6. Place the black tag with the metal grommet onto your magnetic craft mat.
  7. The patterned paper is two-sided which makes this next step easy! Position the die-cut with the tag top facedown on the black tag, secure with a magnet and adhere the bottom part of the second piece to the bottom of the tag being sure that the lines of the plaid are aligned.
  8. Flip the combined tag die-cut back over to the side that you'll be using.
  9. Use holiday-themed washi tape to cover the seam between the pieces.
  10. Use a magnet to secure the colored, fussy-cut nutcracker to the tag die-cut so that his base is on the washi tape and his hat is centered.
  11. Position the gift card notch die facedown so that the nutcracker's hands will overlap the top of the gift card. *
  12. Secure the die in place with low-tack tape.
  13. Remove the colored, fussy-cut nutcracker and set him aside.
  14. Run the tag/notch die panel through a die-cut machine.
  15. Place the tag onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
  16. Position the "get nutcracking" sentiment stamp facedown on the top left where desired.
  17. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp, lift, ink the sentiment stamp with Spruce VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a crisp impression.
  18. Positon the "Merry Christmas" stamp from the Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set facedown on the tag die-cut under the right side of the washi tape.
  19. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the "Merry Christmas" sentiment stamp, lift, ink the sentiment stamp with Spruce VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a crisp impression.
  20. Use Spruce ink to edge the tag die-cut.
  21. Use Bundled Sage Distress Ink and an acrylic stamp mount to repeatedly stamp the Mini Holly Clear Polymer Stamp around the tag to add more visual interest.
  22. Adhere the colored, fussy-cut nutcracker to the tag as shown.
  23. Adhere the stamped tag die-cut to the black tag, taking care keep the notched areas, where the gift card will sit, free from adhesive.
  24.  Thread ribbon through the tag's grommet to finish it all up.
*Retrospectively, I should have measured more than once and positioned the gift card notch die higher up so that the nutcracker would have had a firmer grip on the gift card. Alas, I find as I get older, my grip has loosened.

Instructions:
  1. Create a 6" square card from Raven (Black) Cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp Megan's Christmas Bird Rubber Stamp onto the center of a white cardstock panel.
  3. Color the bird, branch, and Christmas lights with Copic markers.
  4. Use a fine-line green pen to color the light's wire.
  5. Add white highlights to the bulbs with a white gel pen and glittery highlights to the centers of the snowflakes with a clear glitter gel pen.
  6. Position a square cutting die, cutting side down, onto the image panel and secure with low-tack tape.
  7.  Run the die/cardstock combination through your die-cut machine to cut the image panel.
  8. Keep the image panel square die-cut in the die by flipping the cardstock/die combination over onto your crafting surface and adding low-tack tape to cover the back of the die and connect the outside and inside of the image panel.
  9. Flip the taped image panel/die-cut combo back over so that the image and back of the die are facing upwards.
  10. Brush Pearlescent Sky Blue Brilliance Ink over the die onto the image panel, going heavily around the edges. This will leave a white edge around the square.
  11. Apply Diamond Stickles onto the edges of the square and set aside to dry, preferably overnight so that you aren't tempted to touch the glue and make a mess. Really. Just resist temptation and let it dry. Seriously take my word for it or you'll be sorry. So. So. Sorry.
  12. The next day, cut a 5¾" square of Polar Bear Prance blue snowflake patterned paper and edge it with a black marker to get rid of those nasty white edges.
  13. Adhere the image panel die-cut then apply the "Merry Christmas" rub-on as shown.
  14. Adhere the card front to a 6" square black card.
You still have a tiny bit of time to join Challenge 199 for a chance to win Lo$t Coa$t Ca$h!

Acetate from Stamp, Stencil, or Die packaging
Frosty Wonderful Sequin and Sprinkle Mix by Kat Scrappiness
Mylar Confetti: Source Unknown
.25" Sookwang Tape
Bone Folder

Instructions:

Step 1:
Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the American Gothic Christmas Rubber Stamp onto white cardstock. Color the image and the entire panel with Copic markers. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the holly berries.

Step 2:
Use a white Uni Posca paint pen to add white dots over the image panel to make snowflakes. Adhere the image panel to a piece of plaid patterned paper from the Graphic 45 Christmastime pad.

Pat the image panel with an anti-static pad to prevent the future shaker contents from sticking.

Step 3:
Cut a piece of acetate so that it's about 1" wider and longer than the matted image panel. I used the clear acetate packaging saved from a stamp, die, or stencil.

Place the matted image panel facedown onto the acetate. Apply strong two-sided tape long the side of the image panel close to the edge of the card. Remove the tape's backing, and press the acetate onto the tape. Repeat this process so that both sides and the bottom are sealed. Use a bone folder to make sure that the acetate is firmly adhered to the back of the image panel forming a sealed shaker envelope.

Step 4:Flip the shaker envelope over. Assemble your shaker elements. I've used some snowflakes and some sparkly lightweight mylar confetti.

Step 5:
Pour the shaker elements into the acetate envelope. Flip the shaker over and use the two-sided tape to seal the top of the shaker.

Step 6:
Adhere the shaker panel to a green A2 card.

Step 7:
Use a scalloped rectangle frame die to cut patterned paper or cardstock. I used green wood patterned paper from the Christmas Watercolor pad by Scrapbook Customs.

Flip the frame die-cut so that the reverse is showing. Add black foam tape to the die-cut.

Step 8:
Use the Noel Banners from the Holiday Sentiments Banner die set to cut white glitter paper and green cardstock. Assemble the die-cut pair.

Step 9:
Adhere the banner to the top of the shaker panel.  Adhere the frame die over the shaker image panel as shown.

You still have time to join our Cold and Frosty December Challenge. I do hope you participate!
