Note:
I've wanted to create a master board for a long time and decided it was the right time to do so. Visit Leandra Franich's You Tube to watch three videos that do a much better job of describing how I created the painted part of my background.

Instructions:
  1. Create an A6 card from Kraft/Tan cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Add a penny-sized drop of Irish Cream Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paint to a craft mat. Use the 2" Brayer  to spread the paint onto the craft mat which also will equally apply the paint to the brayer.
  3. Gently roll the paint-filled brayer onto a full 9" x 12" sheet of Mixed Media paper until the paint on the brayer is gone.
  4. Roll the brayer into the paint on the craft mat to re-load the brayer, then roll the brayer onto the panel again.
  5. Repeat this process until the paint on the craft mat is dry. At this point the paint on the background panel will be dry as well.
  6. Apply a penny-sized drop of Caramel Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paint to the craft mat, then repeat the process described above.
  7. Continue this paint-application process using MermaidBoraBoraBlah MangePrawn Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints until the panel is paint covered and you're happy with the results.
  8. Mute the colors by using Buff or Snowflake Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints  if desired.
  9. If your background is a bit uneven, as mine was, use a Sanding Block to sand it until it is smooth. Be sure to remove the paint dust when done. I find that a Swiffer duster works really well.
  10. Use Tree Branch Archival ink to stamp the Ink and the Dog Mini 124Mini 126, and the Mini 132  Cling Mounted Rubber Stamps onto the background.
  11. Use the same ink to stamp the key stamp from the LPC033 Cling Rubber Stamp Set onto the background as well.
  12. Paint a small piece of Mixed Media paper with Buff and Caramel  Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints
  13. Use black Archival ink stamp the Ink and the Dog Mini 115 Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp onto the painted paper.
  14. Use a plain rectangle die from the Slimline ATC Windows Die Set to cut the painted paper.
  15. Edge the die-cut with Sea Breeze and Turquoise Gem VersaMagic Ink.
  16. Stipple Pink Petunia VersaMagic Ink over the the panel as well. Heat set the panel to dry the pigment ink thoroughly.
  17. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Ink and the Dog Mini 115 Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp again onto white Copic-friendly cardstock.
  18. Fussy-cut the butterfly from the cardstock version and color it with Copic markers.
  19. Edge the colored butterfly with black cardstock and adhere it over its counterpart on the painted inked die-cut.
  20. Cut the master board in half.
  21. Use the largest die from the Quirky Post Die Set 87  to cut one half of the masterboard.
  22. Use Sea Breeze, Turquoise Gem,  Pink Petunia, and Whet VersaMagic Inks to edge the die-cut.
  23. Cut a piece of aqua/turquoisish cardstock to the same size as the die-cut and use to mat the  die-cut.
  24. Adhere the matted die-cut to a kraft/tan A6 card. In hindsight, I should have matted the image panel die-cut onto a turquoise/aqua A6 card. Alas.
Thanks for visiting today!
