Best Wishes Card

It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday and another "Anything Goes" week. It's also the beginning of September and sunflowers are in bloom! Here's a Best Wishes card created with the Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set TE33 and a sentiment from the Flower Power Clear Stamp Set TE37, both by Tracy Evans Boutique.

Stamping Platform

Notes: 

• I wanted to use the "no-lines" coloring technique to color the beautiful large sunflower from the Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set TE33 so I used Dandelion and Canteloupe Memento Ink to stamp it.
• The Ombre 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium is no longer available, but thought that the primarily orange paper from the Ink Drops - Sunset 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad by Craft Consortium would be a good substitute.

Instructions:

1. Place a panel of white cardtock onto the base of a stamping platform.
2. Place the large from the Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set TE33 facedown onto the center of the cardstock panel.
3. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
4. Use Canteloupe Memento Inks to ink the center of the sunflower stamp.
5. Use Dandelion Memento Ink to ink the petals of the sunflower stamp.
6. Stamp the sunflower.
7. Repeat Steps 4-6 to make sure to attain a good impression of the sunflower stamp.
8. Use Copic markers to color the sunflower.
9. Use the largest die from the Polaroid Pop Die Set DI-89 to cut the image panel. 
10. Use blue Copic markers to the fill in the area around the sunflower with overlapping blue dots to create a pointillistic background. 
11. Place the image panel die-cut back onto the stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
12. Position the beetle and the bee stamps from the Sunflowers Clear Stamp Set TE33 facedown on the image panel die-cut. 
13. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the insect stamps and lift.
14. Ink both stamps with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. 
15. Remove the beetle stamp, then clean and dry the bee stamp thoroughly.
16. Reposition the bee stamp facedown in another place on the image panel die-cut. 
17. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the bee stamp and lift.
18. Ink the bee stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. 
19. Heat set the image panel die-cut.
20. Use a red Sharpie marker to add red dots and lines to the beetle. 
21. Use a white gel pen to add white to his eyes. 
22. When dry, add green pupils atop the white gel ink. 
23. Use a clear glaze pen to add dimension and shine to the beetle's body. Let the glaze gel ink dry, then add another layer to build up the dimension to its body.
24. Use a yellow marker to add yellow to the bees' bodies. 
25. Use a Sparkle Clear Overlay Brush Pen to add glitter to the bees' wings. 
26. Set the image panel die-cut aside.
27. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 4" x 6" to create the background panel. 
28. Use Russet Orange Elements Premium Dye Ink to stamp the small sunflower onto the background panel. 
29. Secure the stamped background panel to the base of a stamping platform.
30. Position the "Best Wishes" sentiment stamp from the Flower Power Clear Stamp Set TE37 by Tracy Evans Boutique facedown towards the bottom of the background panel. 
31. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
32. Ink the sentiment stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
33. Edge the background panel with  Russet Orange Elements Premium Dye Ink and Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink. 
34. Heat set the background panel. 
35. Adhere the image panel die-cut to the background panel as shown.
36. Adhere the background panel to a 4" x 6" black card.

A Scenic Card

 It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday and an "Anything Goes" week. I missed last week's "Outdoors" theme since I've been sick since mid-July with a rashy ick, cause unknown. I hope that I get answers this week and to be taken off the antibiotics which are whipping my itchy butt. Poor, poor pitiful me.

This card features products by Lavinia Stamps to create an outdoors scene. I've used the Acorn Abode Clear Polymer Stamp, the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp, Dana Clear Polymer Stamp, and the Texture 2 Clear Polymer Stamp with six colors of Elements Premium Dye Ink and the ever-so-useful Hills Acetate Mask.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from black textured cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Acorn Abode Clear Polymer Stamp twice — once on panel of Bristol paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
3. Heat set the image stamped onto the Bristol paper, which will become the image panel. 
4. Fussy-cut the sticker-paper version and adhere it atop its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
5. Place the flatttest mask from the Hills Acetate Mask just above the rocks so that it's covering the bottom of the image panel. 
6. Brush Soft Cygnet Elements Premium Dye Inkover the top of the Hills Acetate mask and around the masked Acorn Abode. 
7. Next brush Lemon Drop Elements Premium Dye Ink onto the image panel blending the ink colors as you go. 
8. Continue this process with the Lime Punch, Pine, and Olive Elements Premium Dye Inks working from the center of the image panel outwards. 
9. Use a water-filled Fine Spray Mister to mist the image panel to add some white speckles and splatter. 
10. Remove the Hills Acetate Mask and heat set the panel.
11. Trace the Hills Acetate Mask onto scrap cardstock or thin acetate, cut along the traced line, and place the upper part of the temporary mask to cover the top part of the image panel.
12. Brush Bermuda Elements Premium Dye Ink over the temporary mask to ground the masked Acorn Abode. 
13. Press the Texture 2 Clear Polymer Stamp onto the Bermuda Elements Premium Dye Inkpad and randomly stamp over the temporary mask and the masked Acorn Abode to add texture and interest to the inked ground.
14. Remove the temporary mask and the mask from the Acorn Abode. Color the image with Copic markers. Trim the image panel to 4.25" x 6".
15. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure the image panel onto a stamping platform so that it's against the bottom, but centered horizontally. 
16. Place the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp facedown onto the right side of the panel so that it's a bit over the right edge. 
17. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
18. Ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Remember that you can always re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
19. Clean and dry the stamp. 
20. Position the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp facedown in the center of the image panel, but with the end of the stamp slightly above the stamped Hanging Lanterns. 
21. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
22. Ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Make sure that the image panel didn't move before inking and stamping again. Unlike me. Oops.
23. Repeat the above steps with the Hanging Lanterns Clear Clear Polymer Stamp positioned along the left edge with the bottom of the stamp above the other two stamped impressions.
24. Position the Dana Fairy Clear Polymer Stamp facedown on the image panel so that her feet and hand are on the stem of the Acorn Abode. 
25. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
26. Ink the stamp with  Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
27. Remove the image panel from the stamping platform and thoroughly heat set it.
28. Use watercolor pens to color the Hanging Lanterns and Dana's wings and lantern. 
29. Use a yellow glitter marker to add yellow glitter to the dots in the Hanging Lanterns and a black glitter marker to add glitter to the dots around the lanterns.
30. Edge the image panel with Bermuda and Pine Elements Premium Dye Inks, then edge again with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
31. Finish by adhering the image panel to the reserved A6 black textured card.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from white speckled navy cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Steampunk gentleman from the "Weird Is My Normal" Cling Mounted A6 Stamp Set twice — once onto white Copic-friendly cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
3. Use Copic markers to color the focal image. 
4. Place a strip of Bolted Layers Washi Tape 106 under the colored image. 
5. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the Steampunk gentleman and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
6. Place the small rectangle from the Snap Thoughts DI-90 Die Set blades down on the image panel and secure with low-tack tape. 
7. Run the combination through your die-cut machine. 
8. Remove the image panel die-cut from the cutting die.
9.  Brush light grey dye ink over the masked image and onto a scrap of white cardstock. 
10. Use an Isopropyl Alcohol-filled Fine Spray Mister to spray the image panel die-cut. This will add white speckles to the image panel die-cut and will blend the ink but won't pill the paper.
11. Remove the mask from the Steampunk gentleman. 
12. Use a N6 Copic marker to darken his pupils, then use a White Gelly Roll Gel Pen to add catchlights to them. 
13. Use a fineliner and/or other Copic markers to touch up the image. 
14. Cut a piece of black cardstock so that it's slightly larger than the image panel die-cut and use this to mat the image panel. Set aside.
15. Select a piece of patterned paper from the Ink Drops - Midnight 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad to use as a background panel. 
16. Trim the patterned paper to 4.25" wide. Use a B39 Copic to edge the panel. 
17. Place the grey-inked cardstock scrap onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape. 
18. Place the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment stamp from the Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set facedown on the scrap. 
19. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
20. Ink the sentiment stamp with Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. 
21. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
22. Use a sentiment strip cutting die to cut the sentiment. 
23. Use a Fancy Label Cutting Die and a Steampunk Corner Die to cut gold metallic cardstock.
24. Adhere the gold metallic Steampunk Corner die-cutss to the upper corners of the background panel.
25. Adhere the matted image panel as shown.
26. Adhere the stamped sentiment onto the gold Fancy Label Sentiment die-cut, then adhere the combination to the background panel as shown.
27. Adhere the completed background panel to the reserved white-speckled navy A6 card.

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from Ash Textured Cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the fairy from the Altitude Winter Story Clear Stamp Set twice — once onto a panel of Bristol Paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
3. Heat set the Bristol paper version. 
4. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version adding some curved volume along the left hand side of her hair. 
5. Place the sticker paper version atop the fairy on the Bristol paper as a mask.
6. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the books from the Altitude Winter Story Clear Stamp Se twice — once onto the right side of the fairy on the Bristol paper panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
7. Heat set the Bristol paper version of the book houses. 
8. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel.
9. Clean and dry the books stamp and reposition it next to the other set of books.
10. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the books twice — once on the Bristol paper panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper. 
11. Heat set the image panel. 
12. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it atop its counterpart. 
13. Use the two tree dies from the Roadway Vistas Die Set 78 by AALL and Create to cut sticker paper. 
14. Place the sticker paper trees on either side of the books on the image panel. 
15. Place a piece of scrap acetate horizontally over the image panel slightly above the base of the book houses and the trees. 
16. Sponge or brush Pumice Stone Distress Ink over the the tape onto the base of the image panel.
17. Clean and dry the acetate and place it on across the image panel, covering the grey area. 
18. Brush Tumbled Blue Distress Ink over the top of the acetate and the masked images to create a blue sky. 
19. Brush Della Blue Elements Premium Dye Ink by Lavinia Stamps over the sky to deepen the sky's color.
20. Use a water-filled Mini Fine Spray Mister by Spectrum Noir and lightly mist the image panel. 
21. Thoroughly heat set the image panel.
22. Lift all masks and color the image panel with Copic markers. 
23. Use the Bold Stardust Clear Glittering Gelly Roll Gel Ink Pen by Sakura and a Colorless Blender to color the fairy's wings.
24. Wipe the excess glitter off of the Blender's Nib.
25. Rinse the nib of the blender with Colorless Blender solution.
26. Mist the image panel with Cactus Gold Glitz Spritz. Wipe the spray bottle's nozzle with a paper towel.
27. Use a paper towel to dab any big blots. 
28. Heat set the panel, then mist it again with the Cactus Gold Glitz Spritz to deepen the glittery loveliness. Clean the spray bottle's nozzle again.
29. Use a die from a rectangle A6 die set to cut the image panel. 
30. Use the next largest die to cut white textured cardstock. 
31. Mat the image panel die cut with the white cardstock.
32. Adhere the matted image panel to the reserved grey A6 card. 
33. Add a sentiment sticker from the Sentiment Stickers 6 from the Uplifting Collection to finish the card.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from white heavy cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the pub scene from the Village Pub Clear Stamp Set twice — once onto white Copic friendly cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. 
3. Use Copic markers to color the pub, trees, and foliage. 
4. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
5. Position the largest die from the Spring Sprouts Die Set 49 facedown on the image panel and secure with low-tack tape. Run sandwich through a die-cut machine. 
6. Trim the bottom off of the die-cut.
7. Brush or sponge Della Blue Elements Ink over the masked image to create a blue sky. 
8. Use an Isopropyl alcohol filled Fine Spray Mister  to mist the image panel die-cut. This step evens out the blended ink and adds a slight mottling to the ink.
9. Remove the mask from the image panel die-cut. 
10. Finish coloring the patio with toner grey Copic markers. 
11. Cut a piece of patterned paper from the Grunge Midtones 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad to 6" x 4.25" and edge with a black marker.
12. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure the patterned paper background to the base of a stamping platform.
13. Position the wine glass stamp from the Village Pub Clear Stamp Set facedown on the image panel die-cut so that it's slightly tilted on the bottom right corner. 
14. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
15. Ink the wine glass stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp.
16. Thoroughly clean and dry the wine glass stamp.
17. Position the wine glass stamp so that it's facedown and slightly tilted towards the already stamped wine glass.
18. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
19. Ink the wine glass stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp. 
20. Remove the wine glass stamp.
21. Position the"Cheers!" sentiment stamp from the Village Pub Clear Stamp Set on the upper left corner as shown.
22. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
23. Ink the sentiment stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp. 
24. Use Copic markers to cut color the wine in the glasses. 
25. Use a white colored pencil to add highlights to the wine glasses.
26. Adhere the stamped background panel to the reserved white card.
27. Use glue to add irridescent white sequins above the wine glasses to finish the card.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from black textured cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the dancing meerkat from the Meerkats Unmounted Red Rubber Unmounted Stamp Set twice — once onto a piece of Bristol Paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Heat set the Bristol Paper version.
3. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
4. Position the umbrella stamp from the Funny Accessories Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set facedown on the image panel so that its handle is on the Meerkat's hand and the umbrella is over his head. 
5. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
6. Ink the umbrella stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp it twice— once onto a piece of Bristol Paper and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Heat set the Bristol paper version.
7. Remove the the mask from the Meerkat and set it aside to re-use in a little while.
8. Use Copic markers to color the Meerkat and his umbrella. 
9. Use a black pen to increase the size of his pupils. 
10. Use a White Gelly Roll Gel Pen to add catchlights to his pupils.
11. Place the sticker paper mask back over the Meerkat.
12. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the umbrella and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
13. Use the second largest die from the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangle Die Set to cut the image panel. 
14. Place the image panel die-cut onto a magnetic craft mat. 
15. Position one of the hills masks from the Mini Hills Acrylic Mask/Stencils so that it's covering the Meerkat's feet and part of his tail. 
16. Secure the mask in place with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
17. Brush Stormy Sky and Weathered Wood Distress Inks over the the Mini Hills Acrylic Mask and the masked images onto the image panel die-cut to add a gloomy sky. 
18. Use a water-filled Fine Spray Misters to mist the image panel to add white splats and splatter. Heat set the image panel die-cut.
19. Trace the Mini Hills Acrylic Mask onto a piece of scrap cardstock. 
20. Cut the cardstock along the tracing line to create temporary homemade masks.
21. Place the top section of the cardstock mask over the sky and the masked Meerkat. 
22. Brush Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks over the paper stencil onto the imamge panel die-cut to create a grassy hill background. 
23. Tear a piece of scrap cardstock. 
24. Brush the Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink over the torn edge of the cardstock to add shading and shadows below the Meerkat. 
25. Retain the two pieces of the traced Mini Hills Acrylic Mask for another use.
26. Position the image panel die-cut onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
27. Position the Water Wall Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp facedown along the right side of the image panel die-cut. 
28. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
29. Ink the Water Wall stamp with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
30. Remove the image panel die-cut and use Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink to edge it.  Heat set image panel die-cut.
31. Use a Clear Gloss Glaze Gel Pen to highlight the grey-stamped waterdrops, the white spots created when the panel was misted, and areas of the grassy hill.
32. Adhere the image panel die-cut to the reserved black A6 card. 
33. Choose the sentiment stickers you'd like to use and edge them with the black Pigma pen, 
34. Add the sentiment stickers to finish the card.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Place the outside part of the Sticker Stencils 6 - Bottle Collection onto a piece of Bristol paper so that the bottle shaped aperture is in the center of the paper. 
2. Place one of the Mini Hills Masks - Stencils across the bottom of the bottle.
3. Temporarily place the cauldron stamp from the Bubbling Cauldron Clear Polymer Stamp Set so that it's sitting on the Mini Hills Mask. 
4. Use a rainbow cutting die to cut repositionable sticker paper, then place the rainbow sticker so that it's adhered to the Sticker Stencil 6 and will end in the cauldron. 
5. Remove the cauldron stamp.  
6. Brush Della Blue Elements Ink from the edges of the stencil's bottle aperture in the stencil towards the center. Concentrate the ink so that it's heaviest around the outlines of the bottle.
7. Trace the Mini Hills Masks - Stencil onto cardstock and fussy-cut along the tracing lines to create a negative area of the mask. Label the two sections so you know the top and the bottom. 
8. Place the top portion over the blue-inked area. 
9. Brush Green Parrot and Lime Punch Elements Inks over the paper mask and the Sticker Stencil to create a grassy hill.
10. Use magnets and/or low-tack tape to secure the image panel to the base of a stamping platform being sure to keep the Sticker Stencil and the rainbow mask in place.
11. Position the cauldron stamp from the Bubbling Cauldron Clear Polymer Stamp Set facedown on the hill. 
12. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the Cauldron stamp and lift.
13. Ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink  and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
14. Position the fairies from the 3 Dancing Fairies Clear Polymer Stamp Set facedown in the bottle's sky area.
15.  Press the platform's lid onto the back of the 3 Dancing Fairies stampd and lift.
16. Ink the stamps with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink  and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
17. Remove the rainbow mask and color the rainbow with Copic markers. 
18. Use a gold Posca Paint Pen and a gold Stardust Glitter Gelly Roll Gel pen to create the pot o'gold. 
19. Use Sparkle Clear Overlay Brush Pens to add some sparkle to the fairies' wings. 
20. Remove the Sticker Stencil and place it back on its carrier sheet.
21. Heat set the image panel. 
22. Secure the image panel onto a magnetic craft mat. 
23. Place the bottle sticker mask from the Sticker Stencil used previously over the stamped and colored bottle.
24.  Place the same Mini Hills Masks - Stencil used previously to cover the bottom of the image panel.
25. Place the Sun and Clouds 6x6 Stencil  Creative towards the top part of the image panel. 
26. Brush Della Blue Elements Ink over the top of the stencil onto the image panel. 
27. Rotate the stencil and move it downwards and brush Della Blue Elements Ink over the top of the stencil. 
28. Repeat Steps 26 and 27 until you have a cloudy sky.
29. Place the home-made mask (previously used on Steps 8 - 10) over the sky area of the image panel. 
30. Brush Olive Elements Ink over the stencil onto the image panel.
31. Brush Pine, Green Parrot, and Lime Punch Elements Inks to fill in the grassy area of the image panel. 
32. Tear a piece of scrap cardstock, place it onto the grassy area, then brush Olive Elements Ink over the torn cardstock to create shading and detail.
33. Use a white chalk pencil to add highlights to the bottle and to the cauldron. 
34. Use green chalk pencils to add shading to the grassy areas. 
35. Set the image panel aside.
36. Cut a piece of Bristol paper to 5.25" x 8.25". 
37. Center a rectangular cutting die from the 5" x 7" Card Creator Die Set facedown on the paper, secure with low-tack tape, and run the combination through your die-cut machine to create a frame.
38. Brush Pine, Green Parrot, and Lime Punch Elements Inks over the frame and heat set. 
39. Randomly stamp the Mini Lucky Clover Clear Polymer Stamp onto the frame using Grass Green, then Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Inks. 
40. Add second generation stamping with both greens to fill the frame. 
41. Edge the interior and exterior of the frame with Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Ink and heat set the frame. 
42. Splatter gold acrylic paint from a Gold Posca Paint Pen over the frame.
43. Adhere the frame over the image panel.
44. Brush a small scrap of Bristol paper with Green Parrot and Lime Punch Elements Inks. Heat set. 
45. Pounce an anti-static pouch onto the piece of cardstock. 
46. Place the inked scrap of Bristol paper onto the base of a stamping platform and secure it with magnets. 
47. Place the "Celebrate" stamp from the Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set facedown on the inked scrap.
48. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the sentiment stamp and lift.
49. Ink the sentiment with Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Ink. 
50. Pour clear detail embossing powder onto the wet ink, pour the excess powder back into its container, and heat set. 
51. Use a cutting die to cut the sentiment. 
52. Ink another piece of Bristol paper with Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Ink, heat set it, cut with the matching cutting die, and use it to mat the sentiment die-cut.
53. Adhere the complete sentiment nameplate to the bottom as shown.
54. Create a 5.5" x 8.5" card from white cardstock. 
55. Sponge Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Ink around the outer .5" of the card. Heat set.
56. Adhere the framed image panel to the card. 
57. Add gold epoxy stickers to the nameplate to finish the card.
