With Thanks

It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday. This week's focus is on Thank you cards which are always useful to have on hand. 

Here's my card that was created with the Grunge Flowers Set 2 Clear Stamp Set by Melina Dahl for That's Crafty, the Thank You Sentiment Strip Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door, the Crea-Nest Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangle Die Set by CREA-lies. The background was created with Flying Fig and Marmalady Elements Premium Dye Inks by Lavinia Stamps.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the main image from the Grunge Flowers Set 2 Clear Stamp Set onto Copic-friendly cardstock.
2. Color the image with Copic Markers. 
3. Position one of the dies from the Crea-Nest Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangle Die Setfacedown on the image panel and secure it in place with low-tack tape. 
4. Run the sandwich through your die-cut machine.
5. Remove the two cutting plates from the machine, flip them, and slide the image panel/cutting die onto a craft mat so that the reverse of the image panel is facing up. 
6. Use low-tack tape to secure the die-cut image panel to the background.
7. Flip the image panel/die again so that the image and the die are facing upwards.
8. Brush Flying Fig Elements Premium Dye Ink over the die onto the edges of the image panel to create a white border around the image panel die-cut.
9. Remove the low-tack tape from both sides of the image panel and set the image panel die-cut aside.
10. Use the largest die from the Crea-Nest Lies XXL Double Stitched Rectangle Die Set to cut Mixed Media cardstock to create the background panel. 
11. Remove the cutting die and place the background panel die-cut onto a craft mat.
12. Lightly brush Flying Fig Elements Premium Dye Ink onto the background panel die-cut. 
13. Lightly brush Marmalady Elements Premium Dye Ink onto the background panel die-cut to fill in open spaces and to blend the two colors of ink.
14. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the circles stamp from the Grunge Flowers Set 2 Clear Stamp Set around the edges of the inked background panel die-cut as shown. Heat set the ink.
15. Grab a piece of black cardstock. 
16. Pounce an anti-static pouch onto it. 
17. Use VersaMark or other embossing ink to stamp the Thank You Sentiment Strip Rubber Cling Stamp onto the black cardstock. 
18. Pour Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder by Wow! onto the wet ink.
19. Dump the excess powder back into its container, and heat set the embossing powder.
20. Cu the stamped and embossed strip into Thank you phrases.
21. Adhere the inked and stamped background panel die-cut to a black card that is .25" wider and longer than the background panel die-cut.
22. Adhere the image panel to the card as shown. 
23. Adhere the sentiment to finish the card.
