It's Tuesday which is my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Katzelkraft's wonderful stamps. When we received our upcoming assignments a while back, I had decided to make a get well card with the supine elephant from Les Jungles (Jungle Animals) Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set and the Sherlock Pabo from Les Pabos Series 1 Sherlock Holmes Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set. I must have been prescient because I could have sent this card to myself since I was diagnosed with pneumonia and a sinus infection a week ago. I'm on the mend now, but still... I missed more than a week of crafting!
Here's my slimline get well card.

- Score at 4" and fold to form a 9.25" x 4" slimline card. Set aside.
- Use magnets to secure a 5.5" x 8.5" piece of white cardstock to the base of the stamping platform.
- Place the elephant from Les Jungles (Jungle Animals) Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set facedown onto white cardstock.
- Press the lid of the stamping platform onto the back of the elephant stamp. Lift the lid, ink with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamp onto the image panel.
- Place a piece of repositionable label paper on top of the image panel.
- Re-ink the elephant stamp and stamp.
- Remove and clean the elephant stamp.
- Position the Sherlock stamp from the Les Pabos Series 1 Sherlock Holmes Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set so that the magnifying glass is over the elephant's trunk and Sherlock and the dog's feet are lined up with the base of the elephant.
- Press the lid of the stamping platform onto the back of the Sherlock stamp.
- Lift the lid and use a Post-It Note to cover the footprints to the left of Sherlock's feet.
- Ink the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, remove the Post-It Note, and stamp.
- Cover the image panel with a piece of repositionable label paper, ink the Sherlock stamp, and stamp onto the label paper.
- Remove the stamp from the stamping platform and clean.
- Fussy-cut the repositionable label paper versions of the elephant and Sherlock, then place over their counterparts on the image panel to mask them.
- Use one of the dies from the Slimline Die Set by Pinkfresh Designs to cut the image panel.
- Keep the image panel in the die and place a long piece of Repositionable Scotch Tape horizontally across the bottom of the images.
- Brush or sponge New Sprout Memento ink over the die, tape, and masked images to color the background.
- Place the Elegance Stencil onto the image panel and brush New Sprout Memento ink and Bundled Sage Distress ink over the stencil onto the image panel to add a subtle jungle-leafy vibe.
- When happy with the pattern and ink coverage, reposition the Scotch Tape so that it's sitting on the horizon line, covering part of the top part of the image.
- Brush or sponge Bamboo Shoots Memento ink over the die onto the base of the image panel.
- Remove the tape and keep for another use.
- Remove the image panel from the die.
- Remove the masks and save for another day.
- Use Copic markers to color the elephant and Sherlock.
- When absolutely, positively happy with your coloring, use the pastel chalk pencils to add shadows below the images.
- Computer generate the "you look a little flat" sentiment onto white cardstock, then die-cut with a speech bubble die.
- Keep the white cardstock in the cutting die and brush green ink over the die to color the white cardstock.
- Use Onyx Black VersaFine Ink to stamp the "Get Well" sentiment from the More Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set onto white cardstock and heat set.
- Die-cut the sentiment with a tag die.
- Keep the white cardstock in the cutting die and brush green ink over the die to color the white cardstock.
- Use a larger slimline die from the Pinkfresh Studio die set to cut the plaid patterned paper.
- Edge the patterned paper with Bamboo Leaves Memento ink.
- Use the largest die from the Stitched Slimline Die Set to cut the leaf patterned paper.
