Never Too Late!

It's Tuesday, which means that it's my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week I decided to make an encouragement card. I like making this kind of card to send to my daughter, friends, and family. You never know when people might need an uplifting message, especially lately.

BTW, if you'd like to get 12% off your order at Topflight Stamps use THIS LINK.

Here's my card:

  1. Cut blue cardstock to 7" x 10", score at 5", and fold to form a 5x7 card.
  2. Drip several drops of Spun Sugar Distress ink onto the Gel Press, spritz with water, and spread with a brayer.
  3. Sprinkle Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Orange, and White Brusho crystals onto the gel press, and mist lightly with water.
  4. Press mixed media cardstock onto the gel press and pull the print.
  5. Repeat steps #2 to #4 and pull a second print.
  6. Decide the prints are blah.
  7. Mist both prints with water.
  8. Sprinkle Prussian Blue and Purple Brusho crystals onto the prints.
  9. Mist with water to activate the crystals further.
  10. Press another two pieces of cardstock onto the prints to transfer the ink.
  11. Repeat until you are happy with the prints, then heat set all the prints until they are bone dry.
  12. Heat set them again.
  13. Put the prints between clean cardstock, place them onto the base of a die-cut machine, put the two cutting plates over the prints, then crank them through the machine several times to flatten them.
  14. Use Onyx Black VersaFine ink to stamp the clocks onto one of the prints, trim, and edge with Black Shimmer Delicata ink. Mat with blue cardstock.
  15. Use one of the dies from the 5x7 Card Creator die set to cut one of the prints.
  16. Use Onyx Black VersaFine ink to stamp the sentiment, then edge the panel with Black Shimmer Distress Ink.
  17. Mat this panel with blue and black cardstock, then adhere to the 5x7 card.
  18. Cut two pieces of vellum to 2" x 3.5". Back with Scor-Tape.
  19. Use the hourglass die to die-cut the vellum and white metallic cardstock.
  20. Color the white metallic cardstock die-cuts with the N9 marker.
  21. Peel back the tape on the hour glass parts of the die-cut. Sprinkle Beaddazzles onto the adhesive on one of the die-cuts, trying to keep it away from the edges. Place the second die-cut atop the beaddazzled die-cut.
  22. Assemble the hour glass and adhere to the card using dimensional foam adhesive squares.
