Just Be Happy

Greetings! This week the Topflight Stamps Design team is showcasing products by Visible Image.

Here's an encouragement card!


Topflight Stamps Products Used:

Stamping Platform

Instructions:
  1. Use a stipple brush to apply Dark DenimBlue LagoonMulberryViolet ChalkConfettiRusset Orange, and Sundance Elements Inks one at a time onto a panel of Bristol Paper. The stipple brush will add tiny dots of ink to the paper which, when overlapped, will create a pointillist effect. 
  2. Lightly mist the paper with Fine Spray Misters by Spectrum Noir to blend the colors a tiny bit. Heat set.
  3. Place the image panel onto the base of a stamping platform.
  4. Position the girl and the sentiment stamps from the Tomorrow Doesn't Exist Clear Polymer Stamp Set facedown on the image panel.
  5. Ink the stamps with  Nocturne VersaFine Clair Inks and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary to attain a good solid impression.
  6. Remove the panel from the stamping platform and heat set.
  7. Use the large die from the Frayed Frames Die Set 26 to cut the image panel,.
  8. Edge the die-cut with Blue Lagoon Elements Ink.
  9. Use magnets to secure the Ripples 6x6 Stencil over the image panel on the STAY-tion.
  10. Brush or sponge Violet Chalk Elements Inkover the stencil onto the image panel. 
  11. Mat the image panel with light violet cardstock. 
  12. Use the large die from the  Skycrossed Paradise Die Set 34 by AALL and Create to cut Raven (black) cardstock.
  13. Adhere the matted image panel to the black die-cut  then adhere to a blue card.
  14. Use a corner rounder punch to round the corners of the card.
  15. Use the Quickie Glue Pinpoint Roller Pen by Sakura to adhere black sparkly sequins to finish the card.
Notes:
  • In previous posts, I had referred to the Stipple Brush as a Pouncy Tool. The one that I used is by Art C, which is no longer in business.  However. I did find them on eBay. See below for the photo. 
  •  For what it's worth, I have another pouncy tool, which looks like black steel wool (with gold paint permanently staining it) on a wood handle. It gives a mottled stippled effect as does steel wool, which you can buy at a supermarket.
  • When stamping a silhouette with VersaFine Clair inks, it's important to have a well inked ink pad.
