Go Where Dreams Take You

It's Tuesday which is my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps! I decided to create an encouragement card with Carabelle Studio's wonderful Ladybug's Dream Cling Stamp Set and one of the sentiments from the Where Dreams Take You Clear Polymer Stamp Set by Visible Image. I also used Lavinia Stamps' Elegance Stencil with Lime Punch and Pine Elements Inks.

Here it is!

Instructions:
  1. Cut Patch cardstock to 7" x 10", score at 5", and fold to form a 5" x 7" card. Set aside.
  2. Use a stamping platform and Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the ladybug image from the Ladybug's Dream Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper.
  3. Fussy-cut the label paper version and place it over its counterpart as a mask.
  4. Use magnets to adhere the image panel to the STAY-tion.
  5. Brush Lime Punch Elements Ink over the mask image to create a green background.
  6. Use the pouncy tool to randomly pounce Pine Elements Ink over the light green to add some texture and visual interest.
  7. Use magnets to secure the Elegance Stencil over the masked green image panel and the STAY-tion.
  8. Brush Lime Punch Elements Ink over the stencil to add leafy background for the ladybug.
  9. Lift the mask and retain it for another use.
  10. Use Copic markers to color the ladybug.
  11. Use a White colored pencil to add some highlights to the watch/head and body of the ladybug.
  12. Trim the image panel to 4.75" x 6.75".
  13. Use Pine Elements Ink to repeatedly stamp the checkerboard image from the Ladybug's Dream Cling Stamp Set  around the edge of the panel.
  14. Use Pine Elements Ink to edge the image panel.
  15. Use magnets to secure the image panel to the base of the stamping platform.
  16. Position the acetate index from the Where Dreams Take You Clear Polymer Stamp Set onto the image panel as desired and secure it with magnets.
  17. Place the sentiment stamp facedown onto the acetate covering the sentiment.
  18. Press the lid of the stamping platform onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  19. Ink the stamp with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and stamp.
  20. Remove the image panel.
  21. Use Black Soot Distress ink to lightly edge the image panel.
