It's Tuesday, which means it's time to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week my teammates and I are showcasing products by Hobby Art Ltd and I decided to create a slimline shaker card using the wonderfully whimsical Meerkat Madness Clear Polymer Stamp Set with the Essential Rectangle Frame Slimline Dies and the Decorative Rectangle Slimline Dies, which are both from the Sue Wilson Slimline Collection by Creative Expressions.
Here's my card using the Carmen-Miranda Meerkat from the Meerkat Madness Clear Polymer Stamp Set. This fantastic set includes ten (10) meerkats, fun accessories, and some scenery stamps.
Here's a flat close-up photo to show the shaker contents.

Instructions:
- The Carmen Miranda meerkat was stamped onto cardstock and onto label paper.
- The label paper was fussy-cut to create a mask which was placed over its counterpart to protect it during the next several steps.
- The largest of the the dies from the Decorative Rectangle Slimline Die set was used to cut the image panel.
- I figured out where I wanted the shaker element to be and used repositionable tape to secure one of the dies from the Essential Rectangle Frame Die set in place. Die cut.
- Secure the image panel to STAY-tion with magnets.
- Use the ruler to cover the the bottom of the image pane
- Brush with Jersey Cream Prism ink over the top part of the panel.
- Brush Apricot Sorbet Prism ink then Canary Yellow Prism ink over the Stardots Stencil onto the image panel.
- Move the ruler to reveal the bottom of the panel, then brush Spring Meadow Prism ink over the masked meerkat to ground her.
- As you can see, my stenciling wasn't perfect, so I smooshed some Apricot Sorbet Prism ink onto my mat, spritzed it with water, and used a brush to splatter the background. This was repeated with the Canary Yellow Prism ink.
- Remove the image panel from the STAY-tion, remove the mask, and color the image with Copic markers.
- Add eye shadow with the deep blue Pearlescent chalk. Sadly, the photo does not show that her eye shadow is shimmery.
- A piece of white cardstock was brushed with the Spring Meadow Prism Ink.
- Use the Smile die to cut the sentiment the green cardstock.
- Press the sentiment die-cut into the VersaMark pad, sprinkle with sparkly embossing powder, and heat set.
- I had saved the acrylic clamshell packaging from the die sets. One piece was trimmed and adhered to the reverse of the image panel covering the opening.
- Two layers of foam tape were adhered around the perimeter of the opening to create the well for the shaker contents.
- A selection from the Citrus Twist and Mixed Flower Sprinkles Sets plus the Banana Slices and other sequins/curly bits from the Monkey Business Sparkle Blends were added to the well.
- The shaker well was sealed with a piece of the Spring Meadow brushed cardstock from step #13.
- The image panel was matted with black cardstock, then adhered to a yellow card.
- The sentiment was adhered to the card as shown.
- A lime slice from the Citrus Twist Sprinkles Set was used to dot the "i" in Smile, which finished the card.
Thanks for visiting today!
I'm wondering if I can use this stamp for a Christmas card . . . .
