Floral Journal

Stampendous!® recently released several new Slim Cling Background Stamps that are perfectly sized for Slimline cards, journal covers, Post-It Note Books, and so much more! I decided to use the gorgeous Slim Cling Floral Wings Rubber Stamp to create a journal.

White cardstock to be used for the journal paper.
Thread to stitch the signatures
Red-liner tape or other strong adhesive

Instructions:
  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the image onto Mixed Media Paper.
  2. Color image using Copic markers.
  3. Trim image panel and mat with black cardstock cut .25" larger than the image panel.
  4. Use Double-sided Stick It Adhesive sheet to adhere patterned paper to both sides of the 8.5" x 11" chipboard.
  5. Trim the covered chipboard sheet to a bit over 8.5".
  6. Cut the large chipboard sheet in half so that you have two 4.25 x >8.5" pieces.
  7. Cut both large chipboard pieces using the Journal Die. 
  8. Cut the spine from the remaining piece of covered chipboard.
  9. Assemble the journal according to the instructions and/or videos that you can find online.
  10. Heavily edge the assembled journal with VersaMark ink.
  11. Drag the edges through embossing enamel. Heat set.
  12. Repeat Steps #10 and #11 until you have nicely covered embossed edges.
  13. Create page signatures for the journal.
  14. Adhere the stamped image panel to the front of the journal.
  15. Adhere the bug charms to finish the journal.
  16. Decorate a binder clip with ribbon to keep the journal closed.
