Instructions:
- Resize images and print onto Copic friendly paper using a laser jet printer.
- Color both images with Copic markers.
- Fussy-cut them and edge with black marker.
- Sponge Distress inks over stencil onto patterned paper.
- Cut stenciled patterned paper with the tag die.
- Edge with Distress inks.
- Cut Mirror cardboard with the gears die.
- Paint the gears die-cut with black Media gesso and let it dry.
- Sand it back slightly to reveal a bit of the silvery metallic finish.
- Use MFA paints (listed above) to paint die-cut.
- Sand the paint back in a random manner.
- Repeat steps #10 and #11 until you're happy with the result. I really wish you could see the layers of color and the texture on the piece.
- Adhere the painted gear rectangle onto the tag.
- Use screw-top brads to adhere metal gears to the painted gear rectangle.
- Adhere the dog and the girl to the tag as shown.
- Sponge the sentiment with Cracked Pistachio Distress ink.
- Cut the sentiment with a flag die.
- Edge the flag die with Rusty Hinge Distress ink.
- Adhere the sentiment to the tag.
- Adhere the tag to the premade black tag to finish the project.
