Take Time!

It's Tuesday which is my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps! This week's theme is "Anything Goes". I've made a coffee-themed card created with Darkroom Door's Coffee Time Red Rubber Cling Stamp SetClocks Texture Red Rubber Cling StampHerringbone Texture Red Rubber Cling Stamp, and Abstract 12 Red Rubber Cling Stamp

Stamping Platform

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of kraft cardstock to 10" x 7". Score at 5" and fold to form a 5" x 7" card. Set aside.
  2. Stamp the coffee cup from the Coffee Time Red Rubber Cling Stamp Set with Salvaged Patina Distress ink onto white cardstock. 
  3. Use Copic markers to color the cup.
  4. Fussy-cut the cup and use the BG13 marker to edge it to get rid of those unsightly white edges.
  5. Stamp the cup onto a piece of label paper. 
  6. Fussy-cut the label paper around the top front edge, the handle, and the bottom of the cup.
  7. Place the label paper around the cup so that the front of the cup is exposed.
  8. Use Salvaged Patina Distress ink to stamp the Herringbone Texture Red Rubber Cling Stamp onto the front of the cup.
  9. Place the cup way out of the line of fire.
  10. Cut a piece of White Bristol paper in half.
  11. Lightly mist one half of the Bristol paper with water.
  12. Spray the damp Bristol paper with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Spray to create the background panel.
  13. Heat set.
  14. Press a pouncy tool into the Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.
  15. Randomly pounce the inked pouncy tool onto the background panel to add spots and splats to it.
  16. Heat set.
  17. Trim the background panel to 4.75" wide.
  18. Use magnets to secure the background panel to the base of a stamping platform.
  19. Place the Abstract 12 Red Rubber Cling Stamp facedown along the bottom edge of the panel.
  20. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  21. Ink the stamp with Barn Door Distress Oxide ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary to achieve a good impression. 
  22. Heat set the border and trim it from the background panel.
  23. Use Barn Door Distress Oxide ink to edge the border and heat set.
  24. Using Antique Linen Distress ink, randomly stamp the Clocks Texture Red Rubber Cling Stamp onto the Oxided background panel. 
  25. Use Antique Linen Distress ink to stamp the the Herringbone Texture Red Rubber Cling Stamp  around the edges and between the clock backgrounds.
  26. Heat set the background panel.
  27. Adhere the border panel to the base of the background panel. 
  28. Edge the entire panel with Barn Door Distress Oxide ink and thoroughly heat set.
  29. Use magnets to again secure the background panel to the base of a stamping platform.
  30. Place the "take time" sentiment from the Coffee Time Red Rubber Cling Stamp Set facedown on the background panel where desired.
  31. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  32. Ink the stamp with Barn Door Distress Oxide ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary to achieve a good impression. 
  33. Heat set the sentiment.
  34. Adhere the stamped and colored coffee-cup to the front of the card as shown. 
  35. Use a steam-curl die to cut tan vellum.
  36. Adhere the steam die-cut over the coffee cup to finish the card.
