Happy Holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving! I was under the weather on Tuesday, my usual day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. The lovely and talented Cornelia stepped in for me which was so sweet.

This week my teammates and I are focussing on tags to celebrate the winter holidays! But before I get to my tag, let me remind you that Topflight Stamps has a Black Friday Sale running from now until midnight on Saturday, November 26th. Why not treat yourself to some fabulous new goodies!

Instructions:
  1. Use Obsidian Amalgam ink to stamp the window, the cat, the greenery, the lantern, and the star ornament from the Christmas Decorated Old Window Clear Polymer Stamp Set onto white cardstock and label paper.
  2. Fussy-cut the label paper versions and place them over their counterparts on the image panel as masks.
  3. Secure the image panel to the STAY-tion with magnets.
  4. Place a ruler horizontally across the bottom of the image panel below the planters and the lantern.
  5. Use the largest of the Black Blending Brushes to brush Tattered Rose Distress inks over the masks to color the exterior of the house.
  6. Move the ruler to cover the top part of the image panel.
  7. Brush Pumice Stone Distress ink over the ruler to the bottom of the image panel to create the sidewalk.
  8. Use Obsidian Amalgam ink to randomly stamp the bricks from the Christmas Decorated Old Window Clear Polymer Stamp Set onto the sponged background.
  9. Lift the masks and retain for another use.
  10. Use Copic markers to color all of the images, including the bricks.
  11. Apply Gelly Roll Bold Line Stardust Clear Glittering Ink to the glass of the window panes, the window, the star ornament, and the glass part of the lantern.
  12. Use a BG0000 Copic marker to spread the glitter from the pen around the windows to make them shimmery. Scribble the marker onto a piece of scrap paper until the nib is clean again.
  13. Use the silver metallic Uni Posca paint pen to highlight the hinges on the shutters, the lantern, and to add a silver chain to the star ornament.
  14. Use a white Uni Posca paint pen to splatter white paint to mimic snowflakes and to add snow to the image panel.
  15. Trim the image panel and adhere to a piece of blue cardstock.
  16. Use the Duo Corner Punch to punch the top two edges to create the top of the tag.
  17. Use the slot punch to punch a hole in the center of the top of the tag.
  18. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the sentiment from the Holiday Sentiment Duos Clear Stamp Set onto an excess piece of blue cardstock.
  19. Trim the sentiment panel.
  20. Add dimensional foam adhesive squares to the center of the sentiment panel.
  21. Adhere the sentiment strip flush with both edges of the tag and popped up in the center.
  22. Thread the ribbons through the slot at the top of the tag.
  23. Use silver tinsel fiber to tie the ribbons together.
I hope you're enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend. Don't forget to take advantage of Topflight Stamps' Black Friday Sale!
