Happy Purrthday!

It's Tuesday which means it's time to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week my teammates and I are showcasing wonderful products by Carabelle Studio. Since (a) I always need birthday cats and (b) I'm a crazy cat lady, I decided to create a postcard style card with Carabelle Studio's My Stamp Rubber Cling Stamp, the Kooky Cats Cling Rubber Stamp Set, and the Little Kooky Cat Rubber Stamp. I also used the Regal Frame Red Rubber Cling Stamp by Darkroom Door and Purrfect Day Clear Stamp Set by Heffy Doodle.

Here's my card which was inspired by the famous painting, American Gothic!

  32. Adhere the framed cat stamp to the image panel as shown.
  33. Adhere the nameplate to the bottom of the frame as shown.
  34. Adhere the postage stamp so that the postmark cancellations line up with the ones on the background panel.
  35. Add some smudges of Black Soot Ink to the background panel.
  36. Adhere the card front to the reserved blue card.
  37. Add two red rhinestones to either side of the nameplate to finish the card.

  1. This is absolutely amazing Kathi! I've followed all of the steps in my head and you make it seem so simple lol. This is so full of wonderful details, and all these different stamps that work perfectly together, but my favourite part is your hand drawn barn, beautifully done! Take care and have a great week, Sue xx

    1. Thanks so much Sue. I sometimes wonder if I go into too much detail and/or make sense when I write my instructions!

Bwa ha ha about the barn. I went through the male cat's ear and part of his face with one of my lines, which is what made me decide to nix the pitchfork.
