Friendship Card

 It's Tuesday, my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Carabelle Studio's fabulous products.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of Raven cardstock to 10" x 7", score at 5", and fold to form an A7 card. Set aside.
  2. Brush SundanceConfettiViolet Chalk, and Mulberry Elements Inks over the Divine Stencil  onto friendship text patterned paper. 
  3. Trim this panel to 6.75" x 4.75" and edge with Black Soot Distress Ink.
  4. Adhere the stenciled background panel to the reserved 7" x 5" card.
  5. Use a stamping platform and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp three of the four ladies from the Head and Shoulders Cling Stamp Set by Kate Crane  onto white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper. 
  6. Fussy-cut the label paper versions and place them over their counterparts as masks.
  7. Use one of the plain rectangle dies from the Slimline ATC Windows Die Set to cut the Queen and the Arms-raised lady.
  8. Fussy-cut the top parts of the bow on the Bow-lady, slip the same rectangle die under the bow, secure with Repositionable Scotch Tape, and run it through the die-cut machine.
  9. Use the next largest plain rectangle to cut Raven cardstock three times. Set aside.
  10. Place strips of Repositionable Scotch Tape under the Queen and the Bow Lady.
  11. Brush Sundance Elements Ink over the masked ladies on all three panels. 
  12. Lift the masks and the Scotch Tape.
  13. Color the image panels with Copic markers. 
  14. Add several layers of Glaze pen to the ladies' earrings to create dimension and shine. 
  15. Use a Gold Stardust Glitter pen to add sparkle to the crown.
  16. Use the reserved black die-cuts to mat the image panels.
  17. Adhere the matted image panels to the card.
  18. Adhere one of the sentiments from the Bite Me Black Ephemera Die-Cuts #2 below the image panels.
  19. Adhere two idea-ology Chit-Chat stickers to finish the card.

Time Flies!

It's Tuesday which is my day to share a card created for Topflight Stamps. I love all things Steampunk so I was totally thrilled when Lavinia Stamps came out with a collection of Steampunk themed stamps. 

Here's my first card using these fabulous new stamps.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of purple cardstock to 10" x 7". Score at 5" and fold to form a 5" x 7" card. Set aside.
  2. Use a stamping platform and Tuxedo Black Memento ink, stamp the Topper Clear Polymer Stamp onto a white cardstock panel and onto repositionable label paper.
  3. Fussy-cut the label paper version and place the mask over the hat on the image panel.
  4. Position the Zia Clear Polymer Stamp  under the hat, ink the stamp with Memento ink, and stamp onto the image panel and onto repositionable label paper.
  5. Once again, fussy-cut the label paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel.
  6. Brush Mermaid, then Bermuda Elements Inks s over the masked images.
  7. Keeping the images masked, the stamp the Steampunk Script Clear Polymer Stamp with Mermaid Elements Ink on the lower left corner of the image panel.
  8. Clean and dry the stamp then reposition the stamp facedown on the image panel above the stamped verse on the top left. 
  9. Ink the stamp with Mermaid Elements Ink and stamp.
  10. Repeat Steps 8 and 9 on the lower right, then again on the top right.
  11. Lift the masks and the color the image with Copic markers. 
  12. Trim the image panel and edge with Mermaid and Bermuda Elements Inks.
  13. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4.75" x 6.75" to create a background panel.
  14. Brush the white cardstock with Mermaid Elements Ink
  15. Use a stamping platform and  Mermaid Elements Ink to stamp the clocks and cogs from the Clock Set 1 Clear Polymer Stamp SetCogs Set 2 Clear Polymer Stamp Set, and Cogs Set 3 Clear Polymer Stamp Set. *
  16. Brush a scrap of white cardstock with Mermaid Elements Ink
  17. Use Mermaid Elements Ink to stamp the Time Flies sentiment from the Time Flies Clear Polymer Stamp Set.
  18. Cut the sentiment with a nameplate die. 
  19. Edge both the background panel and the sentiment die-cut with Mermaid Elements Ink.
  20. Cut a piece of purple cardstock .25" larger than the image panel and use to mat it.
  21. Adhere the matted image panel to the background panel. 
  22. Adhere the sentiment die-cut to the background panel. 
  23. Use glue to adhere tiny brass gears to the sentiment die-cut.
  24. Use a pokey tool to add holes to the background panel in the center of the tiny gears.
  25. Add screw-top brads to the center of each gear.
  26. Adhere the cardfront to the reserved purple 5" x 7" card.
Notes:
  • The clock and cog stamps were positioned a few at a time facedown on the background panel. They were then inked, stamped, cleaned, dried, and repositioned until the panel was stamped to my liking.

Shimmery Love Card

Greetings! Mother's Day, Father's Day, and the June wedding season is upon us. Here's a love card created with the gloriously sparkly Delicata Ink Pads by Imagine Crafts.

Instructions:














Step 1:

Cut a piece of Mixed Media paper to 5.75” square. Use an Ink Sweeper to apply Pink Delicata Ink to the entire paper panel. Heat Set.






 










Step 2:

Tape the inked paper panel to the back of the Floral Wreath stencil. Use an Sponge Dauber to apply Golden Glitz Delicata Ink over the stencil onto the ink panel. 


Remove the stencil and heat set.
















Step 3:

Use Golden Glitz Delicata Ink and a stamping platform to stamp the heart and love within the stenciled Floral Wreath on the image panel. Heat Set.



 














Step 4:

Use a Sponge Dauber to roughly edge the image panel with Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. Heat set.

















Step 5:

Cut a piece of 12” x 12” white cardstock in half. Score at 6” to form a 6” square card.


Place a piece of scrap paper inside the card. 


Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Golden Glitz Delicata Ink to the periphery of the card front. Heat Set.




 











Step 6: 

Use Tear It! Tape to adhere the card front to the golden sponged 6” square card.

Three Spring Cards

This week my Topflight Stamps teammates and I are celebrating Spring or Mother's Day! I decided to make a trio of 5" x 3.5" cards with the one of the floral stamps from the ATC Backgrounds Clear Stamp Set by Melina Dahl for That's Crafty. While the cards feature the same design, each card has a different color scheme with background layers created with stencils and ink.

Instructions:
  1. Use a stamping platform and Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the  beautiful floral spray stamp from the ATC Backgrounds Clear Stamp Set onto three pieces of white cardstock. 
  2. Color each image with Copic markers and  trim them to the same size.
  3. Select three pieces of cardstock to match your color scheme.
  4. Trim each piece to 5" x 7", score at 3.5", and fold to form 5" x 3.5" cards.
  5. Trim the remaining pieces to 4.75" x 3.25" card panels and slightly larger than the image panel for the mats.
  6. Mat all three image panels with the corresponding colored mats. 
  7. For the blue card, sponge or brush Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair Ink over the Checkered Stencil onto the blue panel then heat set.
  8. Sponge or brush Sundance Elements Inks over the Divine Stencil onto the yellow panel.
  9. Sponge or brush Glamorous VersaFine Clair Inks over two of the windows on the Inner Peace Swirl Windows Stencil onto the pink panel then heat set.
  10. Adhere the stenciled panels to the matching cards then adhere the matted image panel to finish all three cards.

Instructions:
  1. Create an A6 card from Classic Green cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Use the largest scallop die in Card Passe Partout Rectangle Essentials Die Set  to cut Mixed Media paper.
  3. Use a stamping platform and Nocturne VersaFine Clair Inks by Imagine Crafts  to stamp the bunny from the In The Wild Clear Stamp SetVersaFine Clair Ink is the perfect ink for stamping a highly detailed image like this bunny.
  4. * Re-ink and stamp again if necessary. Heat set the panel.
  5. Smoosh Della Blue Elements Ink onto my craft mat and lightly mist with water. 
  6. Dip a paintbrush into clean water and apply water around a small area of the stamped image. 
  7. Dip another paintbrush into the diluted blue ink and paint from the outline outwards. 
  8. Repeat Steps #5 and #6 until the background is painted to your liking.
  9. Thoroughly heat set the image panel.
  10. Use watercolor markers to color the image. 
  11. Use a black paint pen to darken the splotches and splatters.
  12. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the eyes and the nose. 
  13. Heat set the image panel.
  14. Use the stamping platform to position and stamp the sentiment from the Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set using Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
  15. Cut Raven cardstock with the largest rectangle die from the Card Passe Partout Rectangle Essentials Die Set .
  16. Mat the image panel with the black diecut.
  17. Adhere the matted image to the reserved green card.
