31 Days of Halloween - Day 30: Witching Hour

Greetings! I'm back with a CAS Halloween card for Day 30 of Lost Coast Portal To Creativity's Challenge 202 - the 31 Days of Halloween created with the Silhouette Witch Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create a 6" square card from textured black cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use the Timekeeper Bigz Alterations Die to cut a Mini Stencil Sheet to create a new stencil set.
3. Separate the background, the clock, the clock hands, and the center circle pieces. Poke all of the other pieces between the numbers on the inside ring of the clock part of the stencil.
4. Use low-tack tape and/or magnets to secure a 7" square of mixed media cardstock to a magnetic crafting surface.
5. Center the outer ring of the clock stencil horizontally towards the top of the cardstock panel and secure with magnets. 
6. Sponge Dress Blues Dye Ink over the stencil onto the image panel.
7. Sponge Suede Shoes Dye Ink over the stencil onto the image panel blending the ink as you go.
8. Remove the stencil from the image panel.
9. Place the image panel onto the base of a stamping platform. Secure with magnets.
10. Position the Silhouette Witch Rubber Stamp facedown on the center of the clock with the point of the witch's hat over the XII. 
11. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp, lift, ink the Silhouette Witch Rubber Stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamp.
12. Re-ink and stamp again as needed to attain a good impression.
13. Trim the image panel to 5.75" square, edge it with Nocturne VersaFine Clair, and thoroughly heat set it.
14. Adhere the image panel onto the reserved 6" square black card. 
15. Adhere the sentiment stickers to finish the card.

Cold and Frosty Gnome Christmas Card

Greetings! Here's a Christmas card created for the Cold and Frosty Challenge over at Lost Coast's Portal To Creativity with the Looking Up Gnome from the Mini Gnomes 2 Unmounted Stamp Set by Lost Coast Designs. In the first panel our hero Gnome is enjoying nice weather, but dreaming of a white Christmas. In the second panel, his wish came a bit too true for him.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Place .25" wide washi tape around the edges of a 5.25" x 4" panel and down the center to create two panels.
2. Place the panel onto a stamping platform and secure with magnets.
3. Place the looking up gnome from the Mini Gnomes 2 Unmounted Stamp Set facedown on the right panel. 
4. Press the lid of the platform on the stamp and lift.
5. Ink the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp. 
6. Scoot the taped panel over to the right, ink the stamp, and stamped the Gnome again onto the left panel. 
7. Remove the image panel and color both gnomes with Copic markers. 
8. Stamp the Gnome two more times onto repositionable sticker paper.
9. Fussy-cut the sticker paper Gnomes and placed them over both gnomes on the image panel as masks. 
10. Place the image panel onto the STAY-tion.
11. Place the flattish Acetate mask over the bottom part of both panels just below the Gnomes' feet. 
12. Place the Mushroom Cluster part of the Whimsical Shroom Stencil over the Gnome on the left panel. 
13. Brush Desert Sand Memento Ink and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the stalks and caps of a mushroom cluster part onto the image panel and onto repositionable sticker paper.
14. Clean and dry the stencil, move it to the cover the Gnome on the right panel.
15. Brush Desert Sand Memento Ink and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the stalks and caps of a mushroom cluster part onto the image panel and onto repositionable sticker paper.
16. Fussy-cut the mushrooms and place them over the mushrooms on the image panels as masks 
17. Brush Tumbled Glass Distress Ink was over the masked mushrooms, the masked Gnomes, and over the acetate mask onto both panels.
18. Position the Fern Cluster from the same stencil over the image panel on the left. 
19. Brush Bundled Sage Distress Ink over the fern cluster onto the image panel.
20. Clean the stencil and re-position the fern cluster on the image panel on the right.
21. Brush Bundled Sage Distress Ink over the fern cluster onto the image panel.
22. Move the acetate mask slightly downwards and brush Desert Sand Memento Ink over the top of the image panel to start the ground.
23. Remove the acetate mask and continue to brush Desert Sand Memento Ink to create the ground.
24. Remove the masks from the mushrooms and gnomes. 
25. Cover the left panel completely. 
26. Apply flat white and shimmery white Pan Pastels over the right panel. 
27. When the Gnome was obscured, tap a white Posca Paint pen to add white splatter to the image panel.
28. Then use the Posca Paint Pen to add more intentional snow to the panel. 
29. When the Posca paint is dry, use a clear glitter pen to add touches of sparkle to the snow.
30. Gently remove the washi tape was removed from the image panel. Sadly, I should have been more gentle. The paper didn't tear, but it did lift a bit on the right side. Bummer.
31. Back a piece of translucent vellum with double-sided tape.
32. Use speech bubble cutting die and the dots from other speech bubble die sets to cut the vellum.
33. Add the "Dreaming of a White Christmas" with Christmas-time Remnant Rubs  to one of the speech bubbles. 
34. Sponge Jet Black StazOn Ink through the "Seriously?" Stencil onto the other speech bubble. Let dry.
35. Adhere both vellum sentiment speech bubbles and vellum dots to their respective panels. 
36. Use the White Posca pen to add snow dots  to the "Seriously?" Speech bubble to reinforce the snow-mageddon theme.
37. Adhere a piece of 5.5" x 4.25" patterned paper to an A2 kraft card then edge the card with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. 
38. Adhere the image panel to finish the card.

Magical!

Here's my third my third card for the  Lost Coast Designs Portal to Creativity August Children's Challenge! I used the Manga Goth Harlequin Stamp to create my card. I just love the edginess of these Manga Goth Girls! There are seven different 5" tall Manga Goth Girl stamps available PLUS there is a small set with six 3.5" tall versions!

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Manga Goth Harlequin Stamp twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. 
2. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and set aside.
3. Use Copic markers to color the Manga Goth Harlequin Stamp.
4. Use the reserved fussy-cut mask and place it over its counterpart on the image panel.
5. Place low-tack tape horizontally across the bottom of the image panel.
6. Brush Pebble (grey) ink across the masked image and the tape to create a grey background. 
7. Use low-tack tape and magnets to secure the Rotating Rings stencil over the inked image panel on the STAY-tion. 
8. Brush or sponge Pebble ink over the stencil, the masked image, and the horizontal tape to create a tone on tone effect.
9. Remove the Rotating Rings stencil, keeping the image panel on the STAY-tion.
10. Place the Cabbage Rose stencil onto the image panel so that one of the stencil's roses would be in the smallest ring and the rose's leaves and stem would trail off the right side of the image panel. 
11. Place low-tack tape over the other roses. 
12. Brush or sponge Skylight (teal) ink over the stencil and masked image to color the rose, leaves, and stem.
13. Use a rough stippling brush (formerly known as a pouncy tool) was used to randomly pounce Skylight (teal) ink across the masked image onto the top part of the image panel.
14. Remove the strip of low-tack tape from the bottom orizon line
15. Brush or sponge Pebble ink  over the tape to create a floor to ground the image.
16. Remove the mask from the Manga Goth Harlequin Girl.
17. Brush or sponge Skylight (teal) ink onto a small piece of white cardstock.
18. Use the "Magical" word die  to cut the inked cardstock.
19. Adhere the die-cut to the image panel as shown. 
20. Trim the  image panel to 4.75" x 6.75".
21. Edge the image panel with the Skylight (teal) ink.
22. Create a 5" x 7" card from white cardstock. 
23. Smoosh Skylight (teal) ink onto the outside .5" periphery of the card to create a perfectly matching card.
24. Adhere the image panel to the the now-teal card to finish the project.

Create a quick, easy, and somewhat spooky Halloween card with Imagine Crafts inks, a stencil, and some stamps!

Instructions:

Step 1. 

Use low-tack tape to secure the Cityscape Stencil to a 5.5” x 8.5” piece of light grey cardstock. Trim and place low-tack tape to cover the buildings’ windows. Use a circle punch to cut a circle from mask paper and adhere the circle mask above the bridge. Keep the mask paper with the circular hole for another step..

Use a sponge dauber to apply Night Sky VersaMagic Ink over the stencil and the moon mask onto the the grey cardstock to create a night sky. 

Step 2:

Keeping the stencil in place, remove the tape covering the windows. Use a Fantastix to apply Dandelion Memento Ink over the window apertures of the stencil.

Step 3:

Trace the spire onto masking paper, fussy-cut along the lines, leaving the outline of the spire intact. Place the mask around the spire on the image panel. Use low-tack tape to cover the base of the spire.

Use a sponge dauber to apply Platinum Planet Brilliance Ink to the spire, then apply Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink overtop to amp up the silver.

Step 4:

Use low-tack tape to cover the area around the rooftop water tower, leaving the tower unmasked. Use a Fantastix to apply Platinum Planet Brilliance Ink to color the water tower. Use another Fantastix to apply Starlight Black Brilliance Ink to add shading to the water tower.

Step 5:

Remove the circle mask from the sky. Adhere the mask paper with the circle hole to the sky area, leaving the center open. Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Moonlight White Brilliance ink to color the moon white. Use a Sponge Dauber to apply White Shimmer Delicata Ink overtop to add shimmer to the moon.

Step 6: 

Use a scrap of cardstock and low-tack tape to cover the buildings. Place another piece of low-tack tape horizontally across the bottom 1.25” of the image panel.Use Sponge Daubers to apply Cottage Ivy and Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink between the masked areas to create a grassy lawn.

Step 7:

Use low-tack tape to cover the grassy areas. Use the pouncy tool to apply London Fog, Grey Flannel, and Desert Sand Memento Inks to create a cement sidewalk. 

Step 8: 

Use magnets to secure the image panel to the stamping platform. Position the Zombie stamps facedown where desired. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the stamps, lift, ink the stamps with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamp. Re-ink and repeat stamping if needed to attain a good solid impression.

Remove the Zombie stamps from the platform, then remove the image panel from the platform,. Heat set the stamped images.

Step 9:

Place the image panel back onto the base of the stamping platform, secured with magnets.. Place the other two small Zombie stamps facedown between the other stamped images. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the stamps, lift, ink the stamps with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamp. Re-ink and repeat stamping if needed to attain a good solid impression.

Remove the stamps from the platform. Remove the image panel from the platform. Heat set.

Step 10:

Place the image panel back onto the stamping platform, secured with magnets. Place the Bat Colony Stamp facedown in the sky area as shown. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the stamps, lift, ink the stamps with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamp. Re-ink and repeat stamping if needed to attain a good solid impression.

Remove the stamps from the platform Remove the image panel from the platform. Heat set.

Step 11:

Trim the image panel to 4 5/8” x 6 5/8” . Use a Sponge Dauber to edge the image panel with Midnight Black VersaMagic Ink.

Step 12:

Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4.75” x 6.75”. Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Platinum Planet Brilliance Ink to the outside .5” of the image panel. Then use a Sponge Dauber to apply Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink overtop to add to the metallic shine.

Step 13:

Use Tear It! Tape to mat the image panel to the silver-inked cardstock, then use Tear-It! Tape to adhere the matted image panel to a black 5” x 7” card.
