Naughty or Nice (or Psycho)?

 Greetings! Here's a slightly demented Christmas card created for Lost Coast Portal to Creativity's Christmas in July Challenge #211 with the Alfred Hitchcock Standing Rubber Stamp by Carmen's Veranda and Mini Gnome Santa with Toys from the Mini Gnomes 2 Rubber Stamp Sheet by Lost Coast Stamps.

Low-tack Tape

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create a 5" x 7" card from London Fog Textured cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp both the Alfred Hitchcock Standing image and Mini Gnome Santa with Toys from the Mini Gnomes 2 image onto a piece of white Neenah cardstock.
3. Fussy-cut both images, but cut the Santa hat off of the gnome's head. 
4. Use Copic markers to color both images, then outline them with a black marker.
5. Add wet glue to the brim and pom-pom on the Santa hat, add Cotton Ball White Fun Flock, gently press the Fun Flock, and allow it to dry.
6. Once dry, brush off the excess flock.
7. Adhere the Santa hat to Alfred's head and set Santa Alfred aside for a few mintues while you create a background for him.
8. Trim a piece of winter-themed patterned paper to 5.25" x 6". 
9. Use Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to edge it. 
10. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5.25" x 6.75" 
11. Add Film Strip Washi Tape to the base of the white cardstock. 
12. Adhere the winter-themed patterned paper just above the Washi Tape to create the background panel. 
13. Trim the patterned paper/Washi combo to 4 5/8" x 6 5/8" and edge it again with Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. 
14. Cut a piece of red textured cardstock to 4.75" x 6.75" and use to mat the background panel.
15. Use "Naughty or Nice" die to cut red textured cardstock. 
16. Use an arrow die to cut red textured  cardstock twice.
17. Adhere Santa Alfred to the background panel as shown. 
18. Adhere the "Naughty or Nice" sentiment die-cut to the upper left. 
19. Measure the arrow die-cuts. 
20. Adhere the "be good for goodness sake" sticker an arrow's width from the left side. 
21. Adhere both arrow die-cuts as shown, so that the arrows' points are overlapping the sentiment sticker.
22. Adhere the background panel to a a taupe-y brown 5" x 7" card.

Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Color Challenge 198

Greetings! I'm back to share my last card created for June's Color Challenge 198. I've gone with the turquoise/terracotta color scheme and a bit of snark, courtesy of the Giveashitometer Sentiment Clear Stamp by Carmen's Veranda and the Voltage Bigz Cutting Die!

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Create an A6 card from rust/terracotta cardstock. Set aside.
2. Back a piece of rust glossy-finish patterned paper from the Engine Room 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad with 2" wide Sookwang tape and adhere it to a piece of black chipboard.
3. Back a piece of darker rust/black patterned paper from the Industrial 3.0 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad with 2" wide Sookwang tape and adhere it to a piece of black chipboard.
4. Use the Voltage Bigz Die to cut both patterned paper/chipboard panels and to cut additional pieces of rust and rust/black patterned paper.
5. Place a piece of low-tack tape sticky side up on your work surface.
6. Select the letter dies from the ABC Thinlits Die Set to spell out "acme" and "shitometer". Place the dies cutting-side up on the tape.
7. Back a 2" strip of turquoise textured cardstock with Sookwang tape.
8. Place the low-tack tape with the dies, cutting-side down on the aqua cardstock.
9. Run the tape through your die-cut machine.
10. Adhere the letter die-cuts for "acme" and "shitometer" to the circle portion of the voltage die-cut as shown.
11. Use a 2 ⅛" circle die to cut beige-ish patterned paper and adhere to the back of the circular frame die-cut.
12. Adhere the arc-shaped patterned paper die-cut from Step 3 in the aperture of the circular frame die-cut.
13. Add "0", "5", and "10" rubons to the beige-ish patterned paper as shown.
14. Die-cut a scrap of turquoise cardstock with the arrow/pointer part of the Voltage Die.
15. Adhere the turquoise arrow/pointer die-cut to the circular frame die-cut.
16. Adhere the circular frame die-cut to the square base die-cut.
17. Adhere the nuts/bolt combination to the four corners to complete the "shitometer" voltage meter.
18. Layer a strip of copper diamond-plate patterned paper atop a 4 ¼" x 6" piece of turquoise patterned paper to create the background panel. 
19. Edge the background panel with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
20. Pounce an anti-static pouch onto a piece of rust patterned paper then secure the paper onto the base of a stamping platform with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
21. Position the Giveashitometer Sentiment Clear Stamp facedown on the patterned paper.
22. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the sentiment stamp and lift.
23. Ink the stamp with VersaMark Ink and stamp.
24. Remove the patterned paper from the stamping platform, add black detail embossing powder, pour the excess powder back into the ep container, and heat set.
25. Trim the patterned paper and edge with Nocturne VersaFine Clair.
26. Cut a panel of copper diamond-plate patterned paper so that it's ¼" larger than the embossed patterned paper.
27. Mat the sentiment with the copper plate patterned paper.
28. Adhere the matted sentiment, the shitometer die-cut, and nuts/bolts die-cuts to the background panel as shown.
29. Adhere the background panel to the reserved card.
