Stamping Platform
Instructions:
- Create a 5" x 7" card from blue cardstock.
- Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the woman from the Lady Fortesque Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set onto white cardstock.
- Use Copic markers to color Lady Fortesque.
- Use a metallic gold pen to add sheen to her earrings, her choker, and the dangling thing on her right side.
- Place a piece of low-tack tape across the image panel below Lady Fortesque 's feet.
- Place the second largest die from the Tag It Yourself Die Set 27 cutting-side down with Lady Fortesque centered in the die.
- Secure the die to the image panel with low-tack tape, then run the sandwich through a die-cut machine.
- Flip the die and panel so that the back of the panel shows.
- Use low-tack tape to secure the tag die-cut to the panel.
- Flip the combination back over so that the image is facing upwards.
- Gently brush Graphite, then Russet Orange Elements Inks over the back of the die onto the image panel die-cut.
- Remove the low-tack tape below Lady Fortesque 's feet and place the tape onto the horizon line to cover the bottom of the image panel.
- Brush Graphite, then Russet Orange Elements Inks more heavily over the tape and the back of the die, onto the bottom of the image panel die-cut.
- Remove the cutting die and clean it with hand sanitizer.
- Set the image panel die-cut aside.
- Cut a piece of patterned paper from the Ink Drops - Midnight 6x6 Paper Pad by Craft Consortium to 5" wide and adhere it to the top of a 5" x 6 ¾" of thin white cardstock.
- Use Y26 and Y23 Copic markers to alter the color of some of the veins of the patterned paper.
- Trim a piece of patterned paper to 1 ½" x 5" and lightly brush it with Graphite and Russet Orange Elements Inks.
- Use Graphite Elements Ink to edge the strip of patterned paper.
- Place the white cardstock/patterned paper panel onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
- Position the long flowerless gears stamps from the Flowers and Gears Clear Stamp Set 195 facedown along the left side of the patterned paper panel.
- Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp, lift, ink the stamp with Lightning Black Brilliance Ink, and stamp.
- Clean and dry the gears stamp, then position the stamp facedown along the right edge of the patterned paper panel.
- Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp, lift, ink the stamp with Lightning Black Brilliance Ink, and stamp.
- Remove and clean the stamp.
- Position the two smaller gear stamps from the Flowers and Gears Clear Stamp Set 195 facedown along the center top and center bottom of the patterned paper panel.
- Press the platform's lid onto the back of the two gears stamps, lift, ink the stamps with Lightning Black Brilliance Ink, and stamp.
- Clean and dry the stamp.
- Remove the patterned paper/white panel from the stamping platform.
- Heat set the Brilliance ink, then adhere the brushed panel over the patterned paper onto the bottom of the white cardstock panel.
- Trim the patterned paper covered panel to 4 ¾" wide.
- Use Lightning Black Brilliance Ink to edge the stamped patterned paper panel.
- Heat set.
- Sponge or brush Graphite and Russet Orange Elements Inks onto a scrap of white cardstock.
- Place the inked cardstock onto the base of the stamping platform. Secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
- Position the word "Steampunk" from the Words of Steam Clear Polymer Stamp Set facedown on the inked panel.
- Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp, lift, ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
- Use a flags die to cut the sentiment, then use it again to cut another flag from the Graphite and Russet Orange Elements Inked panel.
- Trim the flags off of either end of the "Steampunk" sentiment, then edge the die-cut with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
- Use Blue Jean Simply Sweet Rub-ons to add the word "strut" to the other flag, cut off the the flag edges, and edge with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
- Adhere the image panel die-cut to the stamped patterned paper background panel.
- Adhere the sentiment die-cuts as shown.
- Adhere the card front to the reserved 5" x 7" blue card.
