It's Augtober! Let's Get Ready for Spooky Season!

Greetings! It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday on my blog! This week's theme is "Anything Goes". When I was out and about last week, I noticed Halloween merchandise is now available. As such, I decided to create a slightly spooky card with Midnight Elegy A5 Clear Stamp Set by Dawn Bibby Designs. This is a fabulous ten piece stamp set that is part of the Gothic Romance Collection.

Here's my card!

Instructions:
  1. Create an A6 card from black textured cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the little scene from the Midnight Elegy A5 Clear Stamp Set onto white cardstock.
  3. Color the entire image with Copic markers, use a white Gelly Roll Gel pen to add a highlight to the bird's eye.
  4. Set the stamped and colored scene aside.
  5. Sponge or brush Violet Chalk Elements Ink onto a white cardstock panel until you're happy with the ink coverage.
  6. Use a stippling brush to pounce Emperor Red and Graphite Elements Inks over the inked panel to add visual interest and tie in the red from the red roses.
  7. Place the inked cardstock panel onto a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
  8. Place the large ornate frame from the Midnight Elegy A5 Clear Stamp Set facedown on the inked background panel so that it's centered.
  9. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the frame stamp and lift.
  10. Ink the frame stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
  11. Re-ink the frame stamp and stamp again if necessary to attain a good impression.
  12. Place a rectangle die cutting side down in the center of the stamped frame. Secure with low-tack tape.
  13. Run the combination through a die-cut machine to cut an aperture in the center of the panel.
  14. Use  Violet Chalk Elements Ink to edge the aperture's edges and the background panel.
  15. Adhere the inked background panel over the stamped scene to frame it.
  16. Adhere the card front to the reserved black card.
