Instructions:
- Cut a piece of Mosaic Blue cardstock to 8.5" x 7". Score at 3.5" and fold to form a slimline card. Set aside.
- Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the birds and then banner from the A5 Forever True Clear Stamp Set onto white cardstock.
- Fussy-cut the birds, color with Copic markers, and edge with a dark marker or a black pen.
- Cut the beaks of both birds free and edge with a dark marker or a black pen.
- Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the birds' eyes.
- Color the banner with Copic markers.
- Place the white cardstock with the colored banner onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with tape and/or magnets.
- Position the sentiment from the A5 Forever True Clear Stamp Set facedown onto the colored banner.
- Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
- Ink the stamp with Blue Belle VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary to attain a good impression.
- Remove the panel from the stamping platform and heat set the ink.
- Fussy-cut the banner and edge with a dark marker or a black pen.
- Cut a piece of sailor/anchor patterned paper to 3.25" to become the background panel..
- Smoosh the Summer Sky Memento Dewdrop Inkpad directly onto the patterned paper until the entire panel has been colored. For some reason, the combination of this ink and the patterned paper resulted in a lovely mottled look.
- Heavily edge the background panel with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
- Adhere the sentiment banner to the background panel.
- Adhere the birds so that their beaks are holding the edge of the sentiment banner.
- Trim Commodore Blue cardstock so that it's .25" larger than the background and use this to mat the image/background panel.
- Adhere the matted image/background panel to the reserved slimline card.
