Stay Cool!

I'm ecstatic to be joining the talented team at Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda and thrilled to have the opportunity to work with some absolutely fantastic stamps. If you're not familiar with the stamps, you should click over there and check 'em out!

Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda run monthly challenges which you can find on their blog. If you participate, you can win Lost Coast Cash!!!

My first project is for the Children's Challenge Theme. I've made a slimline card using the Manga Goth with Tophat Stamp and the Perspective Floor Stamp.

Instructions:
  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Manga Goth with Tophat Stamp twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
  2. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and set aside.
  3. Use Copic markers to color the Manga Goth with Tophat Stamp on the image panel.
  4. Apply the fussy-cut sticker paper version overtop to mask her.
  5. Place low-tack tape was placed across the bottom part of the image panel.
  6. Brush London Fog Memento ink was brushed over the tape and the masked image onto the panel to color the background.
  7. Move the image panel to a stamping platform.
  8. Position the  Perspective Floor Stamp facedown where desired.
  9. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  10. Ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary to attain a good impression.
  11. Remove the low-tack tape and heat set the image panel.
  12. Use a black marker to touch up the stamping if needed.
  13. Cover the floor with a piece of plastic packaging.
  14. Brush Shaded Lilac ink  over the acetate and the masked image to color the background.
  15. Mist 91% Isopropyl alcohol  over the image panel to blend the ink and add mottling. Happy accident time — blended blue, pink, and lavender emerged!
  16. Place the Divine Stencil over the top part of the image panel.
  17. Use magnets to secure the stencil and the image panel to the STAY-tion.
  18. Randomly brush Shaded Lilac ink over the stencil to add some visual interest.
  19. Use  pierced slimline die to cut the image panel.
  20. Adhere the die-cut image panel to a black slimline card.
  21. Use sentiment dies to cut black cardstock.
  22. Adhere the sentiment die-cuts to finish the card.
Remember that you have until the end of the month to participate in the challenge! I hope to see you there!
