It's Tuesday which means it's time to share a project created for Topflight Stamps! I love visiting the beach especially during the offseason when it's a bit more serene. And nothing says the beach more than a seagull, except a seagull perched on a pier!
Here's a slimline card that I created with the Counting Seagulls Unmounted Rubber Stamp by Crafty Individuals and the compass stamp from the Eclectica ESC11 by Scrapcosy Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set for PaperArtsy. Prism Inks by Hunkydory Crafts were used with the clouds portion of the Great Outdoors Stencil by Polkadoodles to create a cloudy sky. The image panel and a mat layer were cut with the Essential Rectangle Frames Slimline Die Set by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

Instructions:
- Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the seagull and his perch onto white cardstock and onto removable label paper.
- Fussy-cut the label paper version and it placed onto its counterpart on the image panel.
- Use magnets to secure the image panel to the STAY-tion.
- Place the STAY-tion's ruler horizontally under the pier to create a horizon line.
- Brush Periwinkle and Pink Jellybean Prism Inks over the clouds portion of the Great Outdoors Stencil by Polkadoodles to create a cloudy sky.
- Reposition the ruler to cover the top part of the image panel.
- Brush Blue Lagoon, and Ocean Spray Prism Inks horizontally across the bottom of the image panel to create the sea.
- Use the second largest die from the the Essential Rectangle Frames Slimline Die Set.
- Use magnets to secure the die-cut image panel to the stamping platform.
- Position the compass from the Eclectica ESC11 by Scrapcosy facedown on the top of the image panel. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp, and lift.
- Ink the stamp with Periwinkle Prism ink and stamp. Repeat inking and stamping if necessary to achieve a good impression.
- Lift the mask and retain.
- Color the seagull and his perch with Copic markers.
- I thought that the bottom of the image panel was looking a little plain, so I covered the seagull with tape, inked the stamp with Ocean Spray Prism Ink, and stamped the tide chart information randomly over the sea.
- Press the cap of a spray bottle onto the Ocean Spray Prism ink pad and use as a stamp to add rings to the sea portion of the image panel.
- Use a White gel pen to add detail to the sea.
- Mat the die-cut image panel with dark grey cardstock cut slightly larger.
- Cut medium grey cardstock with the largest die from the Essential Rectangle Frames Slimline Die Set.
- Use this die-cut to mat the image panel.
- Wrap twine around the image panel three times and knot in the front.
- Adhere the double-matted twine-wrapped image panel to a grey slimline card.
