Meet Bona Lisa!

Halloween is over. We lost Daylight's Savings Time. It's November and cold! Yuck. But it IS the Day of the Dead, so I brought out Bona Lisa to play. That's her name. For real. She's made by Stamplistic and came with a matching die.

Unlike me, she's very tall, so I got to use my newish Big and Little Chain Square Die Set by Gina Marie Designs.

Here's the card.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of black cardstock to 9.25" x 8.25", score at 4 1/8", and fold to form a long tall card. This will fit into a #10 envelope. I checked.
  2. Cut the 12x12 patterned paper to 3 7/8" x 9" and edge with a black marker.
  3. Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp Bona Lisa onto white cardstock.
  4. Use the matching die to cut her from the image panel.
  5. I trimmed the die-cut a bit because I didn't do such a good job lining her up. Such is life.
  6. Color the image with Copic markers and edge with a black pen.
  7. Use the White Gelly Roll gel pen to add highlights to the beads. Let dry.
  8. Use the Red Star, Sky Star, and Blue Star Stardust glitter pens to add some bling to her bling. Let it dry, then repeat until you're happy with the blinginess. It's a word. Really.
  9. Add several layers of Clear Glaze pen to each bead, letting the gel ink dry between layers.
  10. Use one of the dies from the Big and Little Chain Slimline die set to cut black cardstock.
  11. *If you haven't already done so, use the C10 marker to color the open areas of Mona Lisa, i.e. between her arm and leg bones, her pelvis, and her rib cage.
  12. Use another die from the same die set to cut the Seasonal Splendor patterned paper and edge with a black marker.
  13. Adhere the small black die-cut to the patterned paper die-cut, then adhere to a piece of black cardstock, cut 1/8" larger than the patterned paper die-cut.
  14. Adhere the large piece of patterned paper to the card.
  15. Adhere the matted die-cut patterned paper panel as shown.
  16. Adhere Bona Lisa to finish the card.
