We've started a new feature over at the Bombshell Blog called Muse Monday. Alison, who is our Challenge Captain, will choose one set of Bombshell Stamps each month and that set will be showcased by the design team on all Mondays during that month.
This month, we're featuring Festive Calaveras.
Here's my card.
The drinks were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. I drew in a "bar" and colored that with Copic markers. The drinks and bar were then masked with Winsor & Newton Masking Fluid. The Waving Skeleton was overstamped with Memento ink and coated with masking fluid. The background "wall" was airbrushed with Y21 as a base coat. Y23 was airbrushed through the Damask stencil by the Crafter's Workshop to achieve a wall paper look.
The mask was peeled up and the skeleton was sparingly colored with W0, W2, and W3. Sakura Quickie Glue pen was used to add glue to the rim of the margarita glasses and Deco Art Glamor Dust glitter was added. When that was dry, clear Gelly Glaze pen was added to all the drinks and the skeleton stirrers to add dimension and shine.
A Taylored Expressions banner was die cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The banner was then positioned and adhered over the stamped scene.
Patterned paper from Basic Grey's Clippings 6x6 pad was die cut using Spellbinders' Nestabilties Labels 28 and edged with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and layered over the stamped scene
The sentiment banner was stamped with Memento, colored with Copics, fussy cut, and layered over the framed scene.
SCACD's Exclusive Garden Corners die was used to die cut the excess Copic-colored bar wood. All four corners were adorned with the die cuts to finish the card.
Now that you've read all of that, go check out Bombshell Blog for Muse Monday and all the other challenges. Better yet, take a challenge and sign up for Bombshell's Hump Day Hop which will be held on Halloween! Fun!
Thanks for visiting today.
I shall enter this card in the following challenge(s):
