Smeared & Smudged's February Sketch Challenge!

Sorry for my hiatus from blogging. I had a bout with the stomach flu, then had a bout of needing-to-clean-the-house-for-a-party. I think I almost preferred the stomach flu!

Smeared & Smudged's February Sketch was designed by the very lovely and talented Kelli. Third Coast Rubber Stamps is the sponsor and has generously donated a $50 gift certificate to the winner! Wow!

My take on the sketch

My card features one of the several winged cats from Third Coast Stamps. I love them all and had a hard time choosing, so I might have gotten them all. Merry Christmas from me to me with love. *grin*

I stamped the cat and then used Eclipse tape to mask her. I also punched stars from the Eclipse tape. Then I sponged three shades of Memento blue inks over the cat and stars, lifted the tape, outlined the stars with a Sakura silver glitter pen, colored the cat with Copics, filled in the wings and the stars with Iridescent Medium, then wrote this huge run-on sentence. I used Making Memories Shimmer stickers for the sentiment. Sadly, you can't really see the glittery shimmer of the stickers, stars and the cat's wings. Big fat bummer.

Be sure to play with the sketch so that you can have a chance to win that generous prize!

Well, thanks for visiting today!
