Mama Said Knock You Out!
No physical violence here, just time to dust off your PUNCHES and use your NESTIES (QuicKutz, Sizzix, Big Shot etc.) to create your next Bombshell Masterpiece! We all have some fun punches and cutting shapes lying around, so why not use these valuable items and get our money's worth? All you have to do, is make sure something on your card has been punched or die cut....extra credit if there's a hole in your card. *giggle Don't make Mama mad....just start knockin' things out. *wink
True confession: Every time I read "Mama Said Knock You Out!", my brain reads "Knock you up!" ROFL.
Well, after a bit of a delay, here's mine! It's not stellar but it works. I seem to be in a clean and simple mode these days.
The stamp is from my beloved Man's Ruin set. The image was colored with Copic markers and smudged with blender solution to mottle it a bit. I used Nestabilities and a Spellbinders fancy border as my die-cut elements. The patterned paper is seriously old KMA. I hoarded it because I knew that I'd use it one day! :D

One last comment. Steph is giving away amazing blog candy. It's scary just how sweet it is. Click HERE to check it out. While you're there, congratulate her for becoming a full-time Bombshell Girl!
Bless you, yours isn't the only blog I've been to this morning with no project, but thanks so much for the post!!
ReplyDeleteYour not the only one that hasn't got their project up this morning, it's still early. I'll have to hop back later and check it out.
ReplyDeleteSmiles~

No Worries see you soon.
ReplyDeleteLove how your project turned out! It is very elegant and I love the clean lines. It's almost more dramatic that way! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh Kathi - it's so pretty!!! Great job! (Shocker; like that needs to be said.)
ReplyDeleteNice card Kathi! I like the simplicity of it. The background paper is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWoohooo I love this clean nice card!
ReplyDeleteCute idea and I really love the colors!
ReplyDeleteSimple and it works...it's GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteHello again, oh Queen of the Bombshells! (lol, sorry, just bein' silly!)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to come back & say thanks for entering my candy - and I'm cool with you not being a follower - wish they would have come up with a better name, first of all. (and ya know, 90% of the blogs in my reader aren't truly 'followed'. reader's good enough! lol - nothin' like being a silent stalker...)
Maybe late but SO well worth the wait! I LOVE this! The subtle colors are perfect and the image is beautifully colored!!! Just fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteOh! My! Gosh! Kathi! I adore this.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a rockstar.
I know what you mean about CAS mode - I've been doing a lot of minimally embellished cards lately too. When my DH saw the urban graffiti card I made for the hop he made a few disparaging comments about clutter, busy ... good thing he's cute. LOL.
Hmm... I must get that Nestie! You made it so pretty. Of course the skeleton is scary, but I love the colors and the matching rose patterned papers.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great CAS card. I like the contrast in the mellow paper design and the harsh symbol of the image. You wouldn't think they would go together, but they do pretty nicely.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful colors! I have yet to get that BSS set, but I need to! How beautiful
ReplyDeleteLove your clean and simple card! Reinforces my usual clean and simple style. The colors are gorgeous, too. The whole package makes me think "Man's Ruin" definitely goes on my BSS wish list!
ReplyDeleteLove the simple design, the pretty DP is perfect for the image!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity is a good thing because you card looks really good. I can even see using it for the Day of the Dead. Great.
