Two-fer Tuesday!

These cards were originally going to be one card inspired by the song "What the world needs now is love sweet love". I dutifully stamped "LOVE tweet LOVE" with al on earth.

Then being me, a literal minded sort, I realized that owls don't tweet. They hoot. I really liked using al on earth as the "o" in LOVE, but I also liked the "LOVE tweet LOVE" element. So I did the only thing any sane stamper would do, I made two cards.

These cards both qualify for the Valentine's Theme challenge at Wednesday Stamper. I'm shocked that I actually got three cards done for this challenge. But then again, in another post I said that Valentine's Day cards are like potato chips, you can't make just one.

Anyways, all stamps are by justjohanna. Stamping Mathilda is a lovely unmounted alphabet. al on earth was a limited edition stamp to commemorate World Stamping Day 2007. The royal chicklets are prince and princess. I masked off the words "home" from the home tweet home stamp.

"What the world needs now" and "makes the world go round" are both computer generated. Papers are Flair Designs (Love tweet Love card) and Creative Imaginations. The heart ribbon is by American Crafts andd the other ribbon is May Arts.

Thanks for visiting today!

  2. Love both cards. Good call on using the chicklets instead of Al. Love hoot love doesn't have the same impact.
