Instructions:
  1. Create an A6 card from Battleship Grey Heavystock by My Colors. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp Carrie's Yoga Cat 10 twice — once onto a white cardstock panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
  3. Use Copic markers to color the cat. 
  4. Add a Copic marker outline around the cat with B41, <B41, BG11, BG000, and BG0000. 
  5. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the cat's pupils.
  6. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the cat and place it atop its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
  7.  Place a piece of acetate horizontally across the image panel so that the top edge of the acetate lies just above his hind legs. Secure with low-tack tape and/or magnets.
  8. Brush Della Blue Elements Dye Ink over the acetate and the masked cat to start a background. 
  9. The sky was a bit too light and blue so I brushed Milled Lavender Distress Ink over the blue ink.
  10. Remove, clean, and dry the acetate panel. 
  11. Position the panel again so that its bottom edge is sitting on the ink line and the acetate itself is covering the top of the image panel.
  12. Use a sponge dauber to heavily apply Pearlescent Ice Blue Brilliance Ink over the edge of the acetate and the masked cat. Continue to apply the ink until the bottom of the image panel is covered. Use a soft cloth to wipe off the excess ink. 
  13. Use another sponge dauber to apply Moonlight White Brilliance Ink over the the Ice Blue Ink. Remove the acetate and heat set the panel.
  14. Place a snowflake stencil over the image panel and secure with low-tack tape and/or magnets.
  15. Sponge New Canvas Palette Ink over the stencil onto the image panel. 
  16. Keeping the stencil in place, sponge White Shimmer Delicata Ink to add some shimmer to the snowflakes.
  17. Remove the stencil and heat set the image panel.
  18. Remove the mask from the cat. a
  19. Use a white Posca Paint Pen to add "snow" to the cat and to add additional dotty snowflakes to the background.
  20. Use alphabet dies to cut grey cardstock to form the the sentiments. 
  21. Use a speech bubble die to cut silver glitter cardstock.
  22. Adhere the "OOPSY" sentiment to the top left of the image panel. 
  23. Adhere the word "Meowch" to the speech bubble. 
  24. Adhere the speech bubble to the image panel.
  25. Use the largest die from the  A6 Frame Die Set to cut Battleship Grey cardstock. 
  26. Adhere the frame over the image panel. 
  27. Adhere the framed image panel to the reserved grey A6 card.
  28. Use Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink to edge the card. Heat set.

Happy Gnew Year!

Greetings! It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday! This week's focus is new beginnings, so I've made a calendar card featuring the adorable Kate Crane KC017 Cling Rubber Stamp Set by PaperArtsy, which features three large gnomes, five small gnomes, plus a cute sign, and several sentiments.

Instructions:
  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the largest gnome and all five of the small gnomes from the Kate Crane KC017 Cling Rubber Stamp Set onto white cardstock. 
  2. Fussy-cut all of the images.
  3. Color them with Copic markers.
  4. Use a black pen to edge them, then set them aside
  5. . Cut a piece of mixed media cardstock to 5.75" square. 
  6. Brush Della Blue Elements Inks over the entire panel and use the ink to edge the panel as well.
  7. Cut a scrap of white cardstock with a leafy foliage cutting die. 
  8. Brush Lime PunchPine, and Olive Elements Inks over the various leaves.
  9. Brush the same inks onto a piece of white heavyweight cardstock, blending as you go. 
  10. Use this panel to cut a 1/8" strip, a 3.25" x 2.5" panel, and to die-cut the sentiment. 
  11. Use mushroom dies to cut three toadstools and three shiitake mushrooms from white cardstock. 
  12. Color the mushrooms with Copic markers.
  13. Adhere the inked foliage die-cut to the bottom of the 5.75" panel. 
  14. Adhere the 1/8" strip of inked cardstock over it. 
  15. Adhere the three colored toadstools, the shiitake mushrooms, and the small gnomes as shown. 
  16. Use dimensional foam squares to adhere the large gnome as shown.
  17. Adhere the calendar onto the sponged 3.25" x 2.5" panel, then adhere it to the upper left of the image panel. 
  18. Adhere the sentiment die-cuts onto the upper right as shown.
  19. Adhere the calendar card to a 6" white card.
Note:
Retrospectively, I should have exercised some restraint and let more of the foliage and mushrooms show, but I really, Really, REALLY wanted to use all the little gnomes.

Instructions:
  1. Create an A2 card from white heavystock cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the Flying Pig 2 Rubber Stamp twice —once a white cardstock panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper. 
  3. Use Copic markers to color the Flying Pig 2
  4. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the Flying Pig 2 and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
  5. Sponge or brush Paris Dusk, Danube Blue, and Lulu Lavender Memento Dye Inks over the image panel, blending as you go. 
  6. Pounce an anti-static pouch over the image panel. 
  7. Place the image panel onto a piece of printer paper atop the STAY-tion.
  8. Position the Shooting Stars Stencil as desired atop the image panel and secure with magnets.
  9. Sponge VersaMark over the Shooting Stars Stencil onto the masked and inked image panel. 
  10. Remove the Shooting Stars Stencil.
  11. Pour white detail embossing powder onto the wet ink, dump the excess powder back into its container, and heat set the embossing powder. 
  12. Use a white paint marker to add additional white dots to extend the star theme.
  13. Trim the image panel to 5.25" x 4" and edge with Paris Dusk Memento Ink.
  14. Adhere the image panel to the reserved white A2 card. 
  15. Add the sticker sentiments as shown to complete the card.

Instructions:

You should use a stamping platform or a stamp positioner while creating this project.

  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Inkto stamp the TV from the Retro Treasures Clear Stamp Set 1219 three times — once onto a piece of white cardstock and twice onto repositionable sticker paper.
  2. Fussy-cut the TV from one of the sticker paper versions. Carefully fussy-cut the tv screen, taking care to leave the surrounding area intact. 
  3. Place the fussy-cut sticker paper version atop its counterpart on the image panel.
  4. Use a Post-It Note to cover the bottom part of the image panel.
  5. Position the head of the cat stamp from the Grumpy Traveler Clear Stamp Set 1273 facedown on the image panel so that his head is within the TV screen. 
  6. Ink the head and shoulders of the cat with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp.
  7. Place a piece of Removable Scotch Tape over the top of the TV. 
  8. Place one of the gift stacks stamps from the Retro Treasures Clear Stamp Set 1219 facedown so that the gifts are sitting atop the TV. 
  9. Ink the gifts stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp onto the image panel and onto a piece of repositionable sticker paper. 
  10. Use alcohol markers to color the stamped images and use a light grey ink to outline them.
  11. Use a white gel pen to whiten the catchlights in the cat's eyes.
  12. Fussy-cut the other sticker paper TV and place it over its counterpart as a mask.
  13. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version of the gifts and place it over its counterpart as a mask. 
  14. Place wood paper washi tape under the feet of the TV console. 
  15. Position the largest of the dies from the Frayed Frames Die Set 26facedown on the image panel and secure with low-tack tape. 
  16. Run the sandwich through your die-cut machine. 
  17. Remove the cutting plates from the die-cut machine. 
  18. Flip the sandwich over and lift the plate that is now on top. 
  19. Use low-tack tape to secure the die-cut to the surrounding cardstock panel. 
  20. Flip the cardstock panel over so it's image-side up, taking care to keep the panel in the cutting die. 
  21. Brush Pebble Dye Ink over the cutting dye and the masked images onto the image panel. 
  22. Use a baby wipe to remove ink from the washi tape. 
  23. Free the image panel from the cutting die and remove the masks.
  24. Use the second largest die from the Snap Thoughts Die Set 90 to cut grey and striped patterned paper. 
  25. Trim the striped patterned paper die-cut, edge with grey ink, and adhere to the bottom of the other die-cut. 
  26. Use Black Soot Distress Ink to edge the combined die-cut. 
  27. Place one of the speech bubble dies from the Bubble Talk Die Set 72 onto a scrap of white cardstock and secure the die with low-tack tape. 
  28. Run the combo through your die-cut machine. 
  29. Remove the cutting plates from the machine. 
  30. Flip the sandwich over and lift the plate that is now on top. 
  31. Use low-tack tape to secure the die-cut to the surrounding cardstock panel. 
  32. Flip the cardstock panel over so it's image-side up. 
  33. Place the cardstock panel on the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape. 
  34. Position the "Merry Christmas" Sentiment Stamp from the Miss Merry Clear Stamp Set 608 facedown on the speech-bubble die-cut. 
  35. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  36. Use a Post-It Note to cover the word "Merry", ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, remove the Post-It Note, and stamp. 
  37. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to achieve a good impression.
  38. Remove the stamp and clean it thoroughly.
  39. Position the "Meow" Sentiment Stamp from the Miss Catty Meow Clear Stamp Set 1037 so that it's facedown above the stamped "Christmas". 
  40. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  41. Ink the "Meow' stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to achieve a good impression. Remove the stamp.
  42. Position the "y" from the "Merry Christmas" Sentiment Stamp from the Miss Merry Clear Stamp Set 608 facedown to the right of the stamped "Meow". 
  43. Press the lid of the platform onto the stamp and lift. 
  44. Use Post-It Notes to cover "Merr" and "Christmas", ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, remove the Post-It Note, and stamp.
  45. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to achieve a good impression.
  46. Adhere the image panel die-cut to the layered patterned paper. 
  47. Adhere the sentiment-speech bubble die-cut as shown. 
  48. Adhere the card front to a grey card that is .25" larger than the card front.

Instructions:
  1. Place a 4.5" x 6" piece of Mixed Media Paper on a magnetic surface and secure it with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
  2. Place a strip of low-tack tape horizontally across the bottom of the panel.
  3. Position the Rays Stencil over the panel.
  4. Use low-tack tape to hinge the top of the stencil to the top of the panel.
  5. Brush Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink over the bottom of the Rays stencil onto the bottom of image panel.
  6. Lift the stencil and lightly brush Squeezed Lemon Distress Ink over the panel.
  7. Put the stencil back into place and brush Picked Raspberry Distress Ink over the Rays stencil.
  8. Lift the stencil and lightly brush Picked Raspberry Distress Ink over the panel.
  9. Put the stencil back over the image panel and brush Kitch Flamingo Distress Ink over the Rays stencil onto the panel.
  10. Lift the stencil and lightly brush Kitch Flamengo Distress Ink over the panel.
  11. Place the stencil back over the image panel and brush Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink over the Rays stencil onto the panel.
  12. Lift the stencil and lightly brush Blueprint Sketch over the panel.
  13. Remove the stencil.
  14. Lightly mist the inked stenciled panel with water.
  15. Remove the low-tack tape from the panel.
  16. Place a piece of acetate on the bottom of the inked portion of the panel so that it's covering the top portion. Secure with magnets.
  17. Brush Lost Shadow Distress Ink over the bottom of the image panel.
  18. Place the stones portion of the Perspective Floor Stencil onto the grey inked area and secure with magnets.
  19. Brush Lost Shadow Distress Ink over teh bottom of the image panel.
  20. Remove the acetate.
  21. Place the image panel onto the base of a stamping platform and secure with magnets.
  22. Position the Silhouette Man with Cane Rubber Stamp by Lost Coast Designs facedown on the image panel as shown.
  23. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  24. Ink the stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and stamp.
  25. Re-ink and stamp again if needed to attain a good impression.
  26. Use the largest die from the Retro Numbers Die Set 92 to cut textured black cardstock.
  27. Position the second largest die facedown on the die-cut created in Step 26 and secure it in place with low-tack tape.
  28. Run the taped die/die-cut combination through the die-cut machine to create an aperture.
  29. Trim the image panel to fit and adhere it behind the die-cut frame.
  30. Use a black chalk pencil to add grounding and shading under the Silhouette Man.
  31. Select three appropriate sentiment stickers from the Occasions Small Talk Sticker book and edge them with a black Pigma pen.
  32. Adhere the three sentiment stickers to the image panel die-cut as shown.
  33. Adhere the framed die-cut to a blue card that is slightly larger than the black die-cut.

Instructions:
  1. Create a 6" square card from Kraft cardstock. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp one of the mugs from the Holiday Cheers Clear Stamp Set twice — once onto the left side of a white cardstock panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
  3. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
  4. Position the cocktail to the right of the mug and use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp it twice — once onto the cardstock panel and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
  5. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and position it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask. 
  6. Place a piece of repositionable Scotch Tape horizontally across the base of the mug and cocktail, covering the bottom part of the image panel. 
  7. Sponge or Cashmere Dye Ink over the tape and the masked images to add a background color to the white panel.
  8. Place the Grunge Clocks and Grid Mask/Stencil over the masked images on the image panel and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape. 
  9. Sponge Cashmere Dye Ink over the stencil onto the image panel to create the "time" theme. 
  10. Remove the tape over the bottom part of the image panel. 
  11. Place a piece of acetate on the dividing line so that it's covering the top part of the image panel and secure with tape and/or magnets. 
  12. Heavily brush or sponge the same ink over the tape to cover the bottom of the image panel. 
  13. Remove the acetate and the masks. 
  14. Use alcohol markers to color the festive beverages. 
  15. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the mug, cocktail glass, and candy canes.
  16. Use a square die to cut the image panel. Retain the scraps to use later. 
  17. Use the next largest die to cut green cardstock and use to mat the image panel.
  18. Place 2" wide Sookwang tape on the back of the green textured cardstock. 
  19. Use a "Season's Greetings" die and a holly die to cut green cardstock.
  20. Use a Post-It Note to cover "Not a" and "Person" on the "Morning" sentiment from the Morning Clear Stamp Set 253.
  21. Ink the word "Morning" with Crimson Red VersaFine Ink, remove the Post-It Note, and stamp it onto the reserved inked and stenciled cardstock. 
  22. Use a Post-It Note to cover the word "Break" on the Coffee Break Clear Stamp Set 817
  23. Ink the word "Coffee" with Crimson Red VersaFine Ink, remove the Post-It Note, and stamp it to the right of the "Morning".
  24. Use Crimson Red VersaFine Ink to stamp "Happy Hour" from the retired Happy Hour Clear Stamp Set 476  onto the reserved cardstock. 
  25. Use a sentiment die strip to cut both sentiments. 
  26. Trim the die-cuts and edge them with Crimson Red VersaFine Ink.
  27. Trim a piece of plaid paper from the Distress Plaids 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad by Creative Expressions to 6" square, adhere to the reserved 6" square kraft card, and edge with Crimson Red VersaFine Ink.
  28. Adhere the sentiment die-cuts and the matted image panel die-cut to the card as shown. A
  29. dhere the sentiment die-cuts to the image panel die-cut as shown. 
  30. Adhere four holly leaves to the upper corners of the image panel die-cut. 
  31. Add red enamel dots to finish the card.

Meerry Christmas

It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday! Before I get to today's post, I'd like to remind you that there's a CYBER MONDAY SALE at Topflight Stamps that ends tonight at 11:59 EST.


This week's theme is Anything Goes. Apparently I've been feeling the holiday spirit so I've created yet another holiday card this time using stamps from companies that are no longer in business. Thankfully, products from Hobby Art, Craft Emotions,  Katzelkraft, and others are still in stock at Topflight Stamps and it's the perfect time to get them for yourself or as a gift. 

Here it is!

Note: I used the Hedgy 4 Clear Stamp Set* by Craft Emotions, but it's no longer in stock. The  Funny Accessories Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set* by Katzelkraft has a Santa Hat that would work, plus it's got a lot of wonderful and fun stamps (other hats, a stack of gifts, a scooter, etc.) so you should get it while it's on sale and still available!

Instructions:
  1. Create a 5" x 7" card from Lava cardstock and set it aside.
  2. Place a piece of white cardstock onto the base of a stamping platform, secured with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
  3. Position a Santa Hat so that it's facedown and centered towards the top of a panel of white cardstock. 
  4. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the Santa hat stamp and lift.
  5. Ink the Santa Hat with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp the Santa Hat twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. 
  6. Fussy-cut the sticker paper and position it atop its counterpart as a mask.
  7. Position one of the meerkat stamps from the Meerkat Madness Clear Polymer Stamp Set facedown on the image panel so that top of his head is on the mask.
  8. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the Santa hat stamp and lift.
  9. Ink the Meerkat stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Inkt and stamp twice — once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
  10. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and set it aside. 
  11. Carefully remove the Santa Hat mask and set it aside.
  12. Use Copic markers to color the Meerkat and his Santa Hat. 
  13. Use a B41, T2, and T1 Copic markers to outline both images. 
  14. Place both masks over their counterparts on the image panel. 
  15. Use a long fishtail flag die to cut the image panel and a larger one to cut Lava cardstock.
  16. Place the image panel die-cut onto a magnetic surface and secure with magnets.
  17. Place a piece of removable Scotch Tape horizontally across the the Meerkat's feet and tail. 
  18. Position the Sun and Cloud Stencil towards the top of the image panel die-cut. 
  19. Brush or sponge Della Blue Elements Ink over the top of the stencil onto the image panel die-cut. 
  20. Rotate the stencil and move it downwards. 
  21. Brush or sponge Della Blue Elements Ink over the top of the stencil onto the image panel die-cut. 
  22. Repeat Steps 20 and 21 until you're happy with the cloudy background.
  23. Move the Scotch Tape so that the bottom of the tape is sitting on the horizon line. 
  24. Brush Toffee Crunch Memento Ink over the tape and the masked Meerkat's feet and tail. 
  25. Brush a Desert Sand Memento Ink to fill in the rest of the bottom of the image panel die-cut. 
  26. Trim the flags off of the bottom of the image panel die-cut and the red (Lava) cardstock die-cut. 
  27. Use the red cardstock die-cut to mat the image panel. 
  28. Edge it with Golden Glitz Delicata ink.
  29. Trim one of the plaid papers from the A Christmas Gingham 8x8 Patterned Paper Pad to 4.75" x 6.75" to create the background panel. 
  30. Use Emperor Red Elements Ink to edge the patterned paper, then edge it again with Golden Glitz Delicata Ink.
  31. Use the "Merry "Christmas" cutting die to cut Lava cardstock twice. 
  32. Adhere "Christmas" to the top of the background panel. 
  33. Cut "Me" from one of the two "Merry" die-cuts and adhere it to the top of the background panel. 
  34. Cut "erry" from the other "Merry" die-cut and adhere it to the background panel to finish the word "Meerry". 
  35. Adhere the background panel to a 5" x 7" red card.
  36. Adhere the matted image panel to the right side of the background panel as shown.
  37. Use a poinsettia die-cut set to cut Lava cardstock. 
  38. Edge all the die-cuts with gold shimmery ink, then assemble the three three-layered poinsettias.
  39. Add gold enamel dots to the center of each poinsettia.
  40. Adhere the three poinsettias to the left side of the background panel to finish the card.
