Happy Gnew Year!

Greetings! It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday! This week's focus is new beginnings, so I've made a calendar card featuring the adorable Kate Crane KC017 Cling Rubber Stamp Set by PaperArtsy, which features three large gnomes, five small gnomes, plus a cute sign, and several sentiments.

  2. Fussy-cut all of the images.

  4. Use a black pen to edge them, then set them aside
  5. . Cut a piece of mixed media cardstock to 5.75" square.
  6. Brush Della Blue Elements Inks over the entire panel and use the ink to edge the panel as well.
  7. Cut a scrap of white cardstock with a leafy foliage cutting die.
  8. Brush Lime PunchPine, and Olive Elements Inks over the various leaves.
  9. Brush the same inks onto a piece of white heavyweight cardstock, blending as you go.
  10. Use this panel to cut a 1/8" strip, a 3.25" x 2.5" panel, and to die-cut the sentiment.
  11. Use mushroom dies to cut three toadstools and three shiitake mushrooms from white cardstock.
  12. Color the mushrooms with Copic markers.
  13. Adhere the inked foliage die-cut to the bottom of the 5.75" panel.
  14. Adhere the 1/8" strip of inked cardstock over it.

  16. Use dimensional foam squares to adhere the large gnome as shown.
  17. Adhere the calendar onto the sponged 3.25" x 2.5" panel, then adhere it to the upper left of the image panel.
  18. Adhere the sentiment die-cuts onto the upper right as shown.
  19. Adhere the calendar card to a 6" white card.
Note:
Retrospectively, I should have exercised some restraing and let more of the foliage and mushrooms show, but I really, Really, REALLY wanted to use all the little gnomes.

Thanks for visiting today!
