Stamping Platform
Instructions:
- Create an A2 card from red textured cardstock. Set aside.
- Using a stamping platform and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp the gnomes onto a white cardstock panel and onto repositionable sticker paper.
- Place the image panel onto a magnetic surface.
- Fussy-cut the sticker paper versions of the gnomes and place them over their counterparts on the image panel as masks.
- Place a strip of removable Scotch Tape horizontally across the image panel.
- Brush Lost Shadow Distress Ink over the tape and the masked images to add color to the background.
- Brush Old Paper Distress Ink over the Lost Shadow Ink to alter the color.
- Place the Grunge Music Stencil over the top of the image panel and secure with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
- Brush Pebble dye ink over the Grunge Music Stencil, the tape, and the masked gnomes to add visual and thematic interest to the background.
- Remove the removable tape
- Place a piece of acetate onto the horizon line covering the top part of the image panel to protect it. Secure the acetate with magnets and/or low-tack tape.
- Brush Pebble Ink over the acetate to ground the gnomes.
- Remove the acetate and the masks from the gnomes.
- Color the gnomes with Copic markers. I was not happy with the color of the ground, so I used Copic markers over the dye ink to change the color and to add shadows.
- Trim the image panel and edge it with a grey Copic marker.
- Cut a piece of red cardstock .25" larger than the image panel and use it to mat it.
- Trim a piece of patterned paper from the Christmas Stash to 5.25" x 4", edge it with a grey marker, and adhere it to the reserved red A2 card.
- Cut red cardstock with one of the dies from the Christmas Banner Die Set,
- Adhered the banner to the card as shown.
- Color a scrap of white cardstock with YG67, YG63, and YG61 Copic markers.
- Cut the colored scrap twice with a tiny bow cutting die.
- Adhere the green bows to finish the card.
