Spread a Little Kindness Card

It's Tuesday, my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. It's an "Anything Goes" week for the TFS team. It's been very cold here in New Jersey with snow on the ground. The birds are all puffed up and hungry, which reminded me of the Bot-ology Spread a Little Kindness Rubber Cling Stamp Set by Andy Skinner for Creative Expressions, so I decided to make this card.

  1. Create an A2 card from a piece of solid blue cardstock.
  2. Place a piece of white cardstock onto the base of a stamping platform.
  3. Position the the focal image from the Bot-ology Spread a Little Kindness Rubber Cling Stamp Set facedown centered horizontally on the cardstock.
  4. Press the lid of the platform onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  5. Use tape or Post-It Notes to cover the leaves on the stamp.
  6. Ink the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, remove the tape or Post-It Notes, and stamp.
  7. Use Copic markers to color the image panel.
  8. Stamp the focal image again onto repositionable sticker paper, fussy-cut, and place the sticker paper version over its counterpart on the image panel. Be sure that the lower part of the image panel with the base of the park bench, the robot's feet, and the sidewalk are covered by either the sticker paper or Post-It Notes.
  9. Brush Stormy Sky Distress ink over the masked images.
  10. Mist the image panel with a Fine Spray Mister by Spectrum Noir filled with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to mottle the ink and blend the ink without pilling the paper.
  11. Use a White Posca Paint Pen to add white spatter to the background.
  12. Remove the masks from the image panel.
  13. Use a White Posca Paint Pen to add snowflakes and snowpiles over and around the images.
  14. Use an A2 Polaroid Frame die to cut blue patterned cardstock.
  15. Adhere the image panel behind the window of the frame die-cut.
  16. Flip the patterned cardstock over to reveal the solid side.
  17. Pat the cardstock with a non-static tool.
  18. Use Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the sentiment included in the Bot-ology Spread a Little Kindness Rubber Cling Stamp Set
  19. Sprinkle clear detail embossing powder onto the wet ink, dump the excess powder back into its container, and heat set the sentiment.
  20. Die-cut the sentiment with a label die.
  21. Adhere the sentiment die-cut paper to the polaroid frame.
  22. Attach tiny pewter gears over the holes in the nameplate die-cut using philips head screw-top brads.
  23. Adhere the finished cardfront to the reserved A2 card.
