Vampire MemoryDex Card

This week's Topflight Stamps theme is Halloween, which makes me unreasonably happy as I love, Love, LOVE Halloween! I've created another card for my MemoryDex Halloween mini-album with AALL and Create's Spring Sprouts Die Set 49, the Weird Science Clear Stamp Set 957 by Janet Klein, and the Pumpkin Party Clear Stamp Set 1055 by Autour de Mwa.

Here's a close-up!

Instructions:
  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the vampire from the Weird Science Clear Stamp Set 957 and the Pumpkin Vine from the Pumpkin Party Clear Stamp Set 1055.
  2. Fussy-cut both the vampire and the pumpkin vine. I trimmed off what wouldn't fit on the MemoryDex card.
  3. Use Copic markers to color the images.
  4. Edge the images with a black multi-liner.
  5. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the vampire's eyes.
  6. Set aside the vampire and the pumpkin vine.
  7. Use the main MemoryDex die from the Spring Sprouts Die Set 49 to cut Bristol Paper four times.
  8. Sponge or brush Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair Ink over one of the MemoryDex cards to create a night sky.  Heat set.
  9. Put a little Doc PH Martins Bleed Proof White Paint/Ink into a little dish and mist with water.
  10. Use a paint brush to blend the water and ink/paint.
  11. Add some of the mixture to a paint brush and tap the paint brush over the MemoryDex card  to spatter (splatter?) it to add white stars to the night sky background.
  12. Use a hill edger and two other edger dies to trim the other MemoryDex cards to different heights.
  13. Sponge all three cards with Grass Green (new!!!) VersaFine Clair Ink to create  grass.
  14. Use Oasis Green VersaFine Clair Ink to edge the top of each of the trimmed die-cuts.
  15. Layer grassy-green trimmed die-cuts onto the bottom of the blue MemoryDex card.
  16. Use Oasis Green VersaFine Clair Ink and a small brush to add shadows and detail to the layered grass.
  17. Adhere the vampire and the pumpkin vine as shown.
  18. Cut a scrap of white cardstock with a small circle Nestabilities die.
  19. Cut a scrap of black cardstock with a bats die.
  20. Adhere the circle to the upper left of the MemoryDex card as a moon.
  21. Adhere the bats to the sky area of the scene.
  22. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to edge the MemoryDex card.
Notes:
  • Imagine Crafts has come out with twelve new colors of VersaFine Clair InkOasis Green VersaFine Clair Ink (older ink) is slightly darker than the new Grass Green VersaFine Clair Ink. They blend beautifully together.
  • My MemoryDex album will be bound with disks on the left side, which means that I've turned the MemoryDex die-cuts 90° to the left. Keep this in mind when die-cutting layers! Don't ask how I know that.
Thanks for visiting today!
