Follow Your Heart

It's Tuesday which means it's time to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week my teammates and I are showcasing Katkin Krafts' wonderful stamps. I am still basking in the love from my nephew's wedding this past weekend, so I decided to use Katkin Krafts' Wild Hearts Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set to create my card.

Instructions:
  1. Create an A6 card from Raven cardstock and set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Inkto stamp the brick and key stamp from the Wild Hearts Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set onto white cardstock and onto a leftover scrap of dark grey cardstock.
  3. Carefully fussy-cut the image.
  4. Select one of the brick patterned papers from the  Brick Textures 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad.
  5. Use Copic markers to color the image to match the brick in the patterned paper.
  6. Use a dark marker to edge the image.
  7. Cut a very, very slim strip (less than 1/8" wide by 6") of grey cardstock, cut it to 3" long, and adhere the strips to each other.
  8. Adhere the double-thick strip to the center of the back of the fussy-cut colored image to support its narrowest part.
  9. Fussy-cut the stamped grey heart way inside the stamped lines.
  10. Cut the top and bottom part of the apart.
  11. Adhere the grey cardstock to the back of the fussy-cut colored heart to make it sturdier. Set the reinforced fussy-cut colored heart aside.
  12. Use the Y26 and Y23 Copic markers to color a strip of white cardstock.
  13. Using a stamping platform, position the sentiment stamp from the Wild Hearts Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set facedown onto the colored cardstock.
  14. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp.
  15. Lift the platform's lid and ink the sentiment stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink onto the colored strip.
  16. Die-cut the sentiment strip with one of the dies from the Sentiment Banner Die Set.
  17. Heavily edge the die-cut with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
  18. Cut the previously selected piece of patterned paper (Step 4) from the  Brick Textures 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad to 6" x 4.25".
  19. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to edge the patterned paper.
  20. Adhere the trimmed and edged patterned paper to the reserved black A6 card.
  21. Use dimensional foam adhesive squares to adhere the fussy-cut colored image and the sentiment to brick patterned paper to finish the card.
