Cheers & Merry Christmas

It's Tuesday which is my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week is an "Anything Goes" week for the TFS team. Since it's getting towards the winter holidays, I've made another Christmas card, this time featuring the fabulous Miss Dee, who is decorating her tree with style!

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of red cardstock to 7" x 10". Score at 5" and fold to form a 7" x 5" card. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp Miss Dee, her Santa Hat, and the bottle from the HoliDEE Clear Stamp Set #947, two gift wagons from the Holiday Fox Clear Stamp Set #607, the couch from the Have A Seat Clear Stamp Set #461, and the cat from the Caturday Clear Stamp Set #477 onto white cardstock.
  3.  Use Tuxedo Black Memento inkk to stamp the throw pillows from the Have A Seat Clear Stamp Set #461 twice onto Festive Flora patterned paper.
  4. Fussy-cut all the images.
  5. Note that I cut the gifts from the Holiday Fox Clear Stamp Set #607.
  6. Color all of the images with Copic markers and edge them with the Black Multi-liner.
  7. Use a white Gelly Roll Gel pen was  to add highlights to the reflective elements such as Miss Dee's festive bauble earrings, her boots, the Christmas lights, the bottles, and the drinks glasses.
  8. Set all the the colored, fussy-cut elements aside while the background is created. Don't worry about them getting bored The cat napped and Miss Dee drank the martini, then napped too.
  9. Cut a piece of white 8.5" x 11" cardstock to 6.625"  by 5.625".
  10. Trim 1" off the bottom.
  11. Sponge the 1" strip with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.
  12. Use a black Mutli-liner and a ruler to draw lines horizontally to create a wooden floor. However,  I messed up when adding diagonal lines and it's now a brown tile floor. Oh well.
  13. Use black chalk pencil to go over the inked lines and smudge with your finger or a cotton bud.
  14. Sponge Tranquil ink over the remaining 6.625" x 4.625" piece of white cardstock to create a background panel.
  15. When done, mist with isopropyl alcohol  to blend and lighten the color.
  16. Place the background panel onto the STAY-tion.
  17. Use magnets to secure the Dynamic Stencil and the background panel to the STAY-tion.
  18. Sponge Tranquil ink over the stencil onto the background panel to create a tone on tone pattern.
  19. Remove the background panel from the STAY-tion.
  20. Adhere the 1" strip of wood/tile was adhered to the bottom of the background panel.
  21. Use Sookwang tape to adhere a piece of vellum to a piece of the same patterned paper I used to stamp the pillows.
  22. Place the piece of patterned paper backed vellum onto the base of a stamping platform. Seure it with magnets.
  23. Position "Cheers" from the HoliDEE Clear Stamp Set #947 and "Merry Christmas" from the Miss Merry Clear Stamp Set #608 facedown onto the vellum covered patterned paper.
  24. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamps, lift, and ink the stamps with Jet Black StazOn ink. Stamp.
  25. Repeat inking and stamping if necessary.
  26. Remove the sentiment panel from the stamping platform.
  27. Clean the stamps immediately.
  28. Add black ampersand (&) rub on  between the two sentiments.
  29. Use a sentiment frame die set to cut the sentiment and red cardstock.
  30. Adhere Miss Dee, her Santa Hat, the couch, the throw pillows, the cat, both sets of gifts, and the very CHEERful Christmas Tree to the background panel.
  31. Cut a piece of white cardstock cut to 6.75" x 4.75 images.
  32. Use the white cardstock to mat the image panel. Don't follow my example, mat it evenly.
  33. Adhere the matted image panel to the reserved red 7" x 5" card.
  34. Adhere the framed sentiment to finish the card.
