Lighthouse Card with Crafty Individuals

This week my Topflight Stamps teammates and I are showcasing the Crafty Individuals' wonderful stamps.

Here's my card created with Grace Darling's Lighthouse Unmounted Rubber Stamp 384 and Counting Down Unmounted Rubber Stamp 573.

Before I bore you with share the instructions for my cards, I wanted to give you more information about Topflight Stamps' Darkroom Door Challenge!

To enter the Topflight Stamps Darkroom Door challenge, just create a project using at least one Darkroom Door product. Post it to the Topflight Stamps Design Gallery on Facebook and/or post it on your Instagram feed and use the hashtag #TFSDDC. I'm looking so forward to seeing all the amazing things that will be created. I encourage you all to be on the lookout and leave positive comments on these projects. Let's all spread some kindness in memory of Rachel.

The prize for this challenge is a huge package of Darkroom Door stamps with a retail value of over $200!!! Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of 12x12 black cardstock in half. Score at 6" and fold to form a 6" square card. Set aside.
2. Using a stamping platform and Copic-friendly ink, stamp Grace Darling's Lighthouse onto white Neenah cardstock.
3. Color the scene with Copic markers, trim the image panel, and edge it with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink. Heat set and put aside.
4. Smoosh Blue Lagoon Elements Ink onto a craft mat, mist with water, and dip two pieces of Mixed Media cardstock into the ink. Heat set.
5. Repeat this step with Blue Atoll, Della Blue, Bermuda, and Pine Elements Inks until you're happy with both the coverage and ink blending. Heat set.
6. Lightly mist with with water to add more droplets to both and heat set.
7. If you'd like to add more color to certain areas, use a blender or sponge to apply ink directly to that area, mist with water, and heat set thoroughly.
8. Flatten both panels as much as possible. I place the panels on the base platform of a die-cut machine, put a piece of thick paper overtop, add both cutting plates, and run it through the machine. Alternately, I place heavy materials (such as a die binder) onto the papers.
9. Using a stamping platform and Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, stamp Counting Down onto one of the two inked panels. Repeat inking and stamping to attain a crisp dark image. Heat set.
10. Trim the panel and edge with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
11. Trim the other inked panel to 5.75" square.
12. Adhere the Counting Down panel as shown.
13. Adhere the Grace Darling's Lighthouse panel to the card front.
14. Apply Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink to a strip of white cardstock.
15. Use a copper scrubber to pounce brown ink to mottle the background.
16. Use the knot die from the Nautical Rope Border Die Set to cut the inked cardstock.
17. Keep the cardstock in the die and sponge or brush Sahara Elements Ink over the die onto the paper to add detail.
18. Repeat the process to create a second border.
19. Adhere the inked borders to the card front as shown.
20. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to edge the panel. Adhere the panel to a black 6" square card.
