Erwin the Owl Card

It's Tuesday, my day to share a card created for Topflight Stamps. This week's theme on the TFS blog is "Anything Goes" and I decided to combine some of my newest Lavinia stamps with some of my older ones. I love owls and Lavinia Stamps' newest release includes some fabulous ones! Be sure to check 'em out!

Instructions:
  1. Use a stamping platform and Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp Erwin twice. -- once onto white cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper. Re-ink and stamp on the image panel if necessary to attain a good impression.
  2. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
  3. Position the Tree Den Clear Polymer Stamp horizontally under Erwin's talons as a tree branch.
  4. Use Gathered Twigs Distress ink and stamp the Tree Den/branch twice -- once onto cardstock and once onto repositionable sticker paper.
  5. Fussy-cut the sticker paper version and place it over its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.
  6. Brush Della BlueViolet Chalk, and Blue Lagoon Elements Inks over the masked images onto the image panel.
  7. Keeping the masks in place, place the image panel back onto the base of the stamping platform.
  8. Use Della Blue Elements Ink was used to stamp the Small Compass Clear Polymer Stamp b three times onto the background, taking care to clean and dry the stamp before repositioning it.
  9. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the Wise Owl Script Clear Polymer Stamp below the branch. Remove from the stamping platform if necessary and heat set.
  10. If necessary, return the image panel to the stamping platform.
  11. Use Rain Forest VersaFine Clair Ink to stamp the Falling Ivy Clear Polymer Stamp several times, being sure to clean and dry the stamp before repositioning it, re-inking it, and stamping again.
  12. Lift the masks and retain.
  13. Use Copic markers to color the owl and the branch.
  14. Use a pouncy tool (looks like steel wool on a block)  to pounce Violet Chalk Elements Ink onto the image panel to add a bit more visual interest to the background.
  15. Trim the image panel, edge it with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink, and adhere it to a 5" x 8.25" green card.
