A Purrfect Witch Card

Here's another Halloween card created for Topflight StampsThis time I opted to use the purrfect Hocus Pocus Clear Stamp Set #570 by Bipasha BK for AALL and Create for the focal image on a slimline card. The background was created with the Reverse Stars Clear Stamp Set #485 by Bipasha BK for AALL and Create, an Acetate Circle Mask, and an Acetate Hills Mask with Elements Inks by Lavinia Stamps.

Here's the card!

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of black cardstock to 8" x 8.5". Score at 4" and fold to form a slimline card. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp both the cat and the witch hat from the Hocus Pocus Clear Stamp Set #570 by Bipasha BK onto Solar White cardstock.
  3. Fussy-cut both images, color them with Copic markers, and edge with a dark marker. Set them aside while creating the background.
  4. Use the largest die from the Essential Rectangle Frames Die Set to cut a piece of Mixed Media paper two times.
  5. Use magnets to secure one of the die-cuts to the STAY-tion.
  6. Use a magnet to secure the smallest circle from the Acetate Circle Masks to the die-cut.
  7. Brush Violet ChalkBlue Lagoon,  and Graphite Elements Inks  over the mask onto the die-cut to create a night sky.
  8. Remove the mask and heat set the die-cut.
  9. Trim about one third of the other slimline die-cut, then brush Lime Punch Elements Ink across it to create a grassy lawn for the cat.
  10. Place the green-brushed die-cut onto a cutting mat.
  11. Place the flat hills mask from the Acetate Hills Masks at the top of die-cut then use a fine-tipped stylus to trace the edge of the mask repeatedly to create a score line.
  12. Tear the green cardstock along the score line and use Pine Elements Ink to edge it.
  13. Use magnets to secure the green die-cut to the STAY-tion.
  14. Place the same mask from Step #11 an inch or so below the edge of the grassy die-cut.
  15. Brush Pine Elements Ink over the top of the mask onto the die-cut.
  16. Move the mask downward and a little to one side.
  17. Brush Pine Elements Ink over the top of the mask onto the die-cut.
  18. Repeat Steps #16 and #17 until you're happy with the grassy lawn.
  19. Adhere the grass die-cut to the bottom of the night sky die-cut.
  20. Temporarily position the fussy-cut Copic colored cat onto the grass as desired.
  21. Use a chalk pencil to loosely trace the bottom of the cat.
  22. Remove the cat and set aside.
  23. Brush Pine Elements Inks to add a shaded area around the traced outline.
  24. Adhere the fussy-cut Copic colored cat to the background as shown.
  25. The background type, lines, and blots from the witch hat stamp were removed when I fussy-cut the hat, I wanted to add them back.
  26. Stamp the witch hat from the Hocus Pocus Clear Stamp Set #570 onto repositionable label paper, fussy-cut it, and position it atop the cat's head as a mask.
  27. Clean and dry the stamp.
  28. Use magnets to secure the image panel to the base of the stamping platform.
  29. Place the cleaned witch hat stamp facedown onto the mask.
  30. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp and lift.
  31. Ink the stamp with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and stamp to add the blotches and type from the stamp back onto the the background.
  32. Repeat inking and stamping if necessary for a good impression.
  33. Heat set the image panel.
  34. Remove the witch hat mask from the image panel.
  35. Adhere the colored and fussy-cut witch hat on the cat's head.
  36. Randomly stamp back stars with the Reverse Stars Clear Stamp Set 3485 by Bipasha BK  and Onyx Black VersaFine Ink.
  37. Heat set the image panel.
  38. Use Onyx Black VersaFine Ink to edge the image panel die-cut.
  39. Heat set.
  40. Cut orange cardstock slightly larger than the image panel die-cut and use to mat the image panel.
  41. Adhere the matted image panel to the reserved black card.
  42. Use the Gelly Roll Bold Line Stardust® Clear Glittering Ink by Sakura to add glitter to the rim of the moon.
