I'm Late!

It's Wednesday which means that I'm a day late sharing a project created for Topflight Stamps. Last Friday, we had a torrential rain storm, courtesy of Tropical Storm Dora. First it started raining in the middle of the kitchen onto our kitchen table. Then we lost power for several hours. An hour after the power returned, the cable crapped out. Due to the pandemic, no one was available to come check out the situation until Tuesday, which meant that we were left without internet (except for our phones) and tv! Poor poor us. Such first world problems.

Anyway, my talented pal and TFS teammate, Toni, switched days with me. Don'tchaknow that team work makes the dream work?

This week, I've created a slimline card that is appropriately titled "I'm Late!" using stamps from the Alice Collection, Set 2 by Random Artist 222 for That's Crafty. I also used That's Crafty's Discover Word Series Stencilthe Cogged Up Stencil by Andy Skinner for Creative Expression, and two colors of Prism Inks by Hunkydory Crafts.

Here it is.

  2. Fussy-cut the label paper version then place it onto its counterpart on the image panel.
  3. Stamp the little teapot from the set onto the Mad Hatter's hand on the image panel and label paper. Fussy-cut it and put over its counterpart.
  4. Place the image panel on the STAY-tion and adhere with magnets.
  5. Place the ruler under the Mad Hatter to cover the bottom part of the image.
  6. Sponge Arctic Mist Prism Ink over the image.
  7. Place two Post-It Notes on the diagonal radiating from the lamp on the Mad Hatter's hat.
  8. Sponge Canary Yellow Prism Ink  between the PostIt Notes to form a lightbeam.
  9. Remove the ruler under the Mat Hatter's feet and use the magnets to secure the border part of the Discover Word Series Stencil in its place.
  10. Sponge Lulu Lavender Memento Ink over the border part of the stencil.
  11. Lift all masks and reserve for a later use.
  12. Color the Mad Hatter and the tea pot with Copic Markers.
  13. Apply several layers of Clear Glaze pen to the headlamp, the rivets, screws, and the top of the teapot.
  14. Mat the image panel with black cardstock and set aside.
  15. Lavender cardstock was debossed with the Clocks Embossing Plate.
  16. Arctic Mist Prism Ink was sponged over the Clocks stencil onto the debossed lavender cardstock.
  17. Sponge Arctic Mist Prism ink over Cogged Up Stencil in the open spaces.
  18.  A larger piece of lavender cardstock was stenciled with circles.
  19. The two pieces were edged, layered, die-cut, then adhered to the slimline card.
  20. Lavender cardstock was die-cut with a speech bubble and the sentiment from the stamp set was stamped onto it with Arctic Mist Prism Ink, which was also used to edge the speech bubble.
  21. The sentiment speech bubble was adhered to finish the card.
BTW, there's a Christmas/Winter in July sale going on at Topflight Stamps.
