Meow You Doing?

It's Tuesday, which means that it's my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps! At my house, every day is Caturday. On May 8th, we celebrated the second adoptiversary of our beloved cats. We gave them their favorite food, favorite treat, played with them, and looked fondly at the photos and videos of their adoption.

I suppose you really didn't need to read all that, but I'm so smitten with my cats and cats in general that I can't help collect cat-themed stamps. So, when I saw the seriously adorable Meow You Doing Clear Polymer Stamp set by Polkadoodles, I had to have it! With two absolutely adorable cats, cat toys, and sentiments, it's a great value. BTW, if you'd like to get 12% off your order at Topflight Stamps use THIS LINK.

Instructions:
  1. Using Tuxedo Black ink stamp the  big cat onto white cardstock and label paper.
  2. Fussy-cut the label paper image to create a mask and place the mask over the cat on the white cardstock.
  3. Place the image panel onto the STAY-tion and secure it with magnets.
  4. Place the ruler horizontally over the bottom of the image and sponge Periwinkle Prism Ink over the clouds portion of the Great Outdoors 6x6 Stencil by Polkadoodles.
  5. When the "sky" meets with your approval, reposition the ruler so that the sky is covered.
  6. Flip the stencil and sponge New Sprout Memento, Bamboo Leaves Memento, and Rainforest Prism inks over the grass portion of the stencil.
  7. Remove the image panel from the STAY-tion, lift the mask (I always try to keep them for another use),  and color the cat with Copic markers.
  8. Touch up the grass with Copic markers as desired.
  9. Cut the yarn ball patterned paper to 4" x 5.25" and adhere to a grey A2 card.
  10. Trim the image panel and mat with pink floral patterned paper. Adhere to the card as shown.
  11. Stamp the sentiment onto paw-print patterned paper and cut with one of the Essential Speech Bubble Die-namics.
  12. Adhere the sentiment to finish the card.
  13. To create the envelope, repeat steps #1 through #5.
  14. Stamp the yarn ball onto both lower corners of the envelope.
  15. Remove the envelope from the STAY-tion and lift the mask,
  16. Place a piece of scrap cardstock inside the envelope and color the cat and the yarn balls with Copic markers. The scrap cardstock will keep the marker from soaking through the back of the envelope.
