This month, the Bombshell Girls and Pin-Ups are showcasing the King of the Road set for Muse Mondays on the Bombshell Blog!
This set, along with the rest of the Hot Rod Collection, is fabulous to use when you need to create a card for a man! Though come to think of it, most, if not all, of Bombshell's stamps are great for masculine themed cards!
Anyway, here's my card for Muse Monday!
The image and sentiment were stamped onto Neenah cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then colored with Copic markers, which I forgot to record. Bad me. I do recall that the car is B24, B26, B39 & the banner is a mess of E40s.
The headlights and windows were enhanced with a Gelly Roll Stardust Pure Glitter Pen to add a touch of shimmer. When that was dry, I added a layer of Clear Glaze pen to add shine to the windows, headlights, and engine parts.
Both the sentiment and the car were fussy cut. A strip of Road-patterned Washi tape was layered over a scrap of old Fancy Pants patterned cardstock then die cut using a Nestabilities die. It was edged with my beloved-and-very-necessary Black Soot Distress ink.
The patterned papers are all from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Destinations Paper Stash. The edges of the strip layers were tattered and the whole thing was edged using Black Soot Distress ink.
The car die cut was adhered on dimensionals over the patterned paper card front. The sentiment was also adhered using dimensional adhesive in the middle of the banner. The ends of the banner are flush with the paper.
The card is a bit busy, but that's the way things go. :D
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
Great card! I love the way you made the road under the car, and your coloring is awesome!
