If the broom fits...

It's Topflight Stamps Tuesday. This week's theme is "Anything Goes". It's my favorite time of the year so I've created a Halloween card with stamps and dies by AALL and Create and sparkly sprays by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

Stamping Platform

Instructions:

1. Make a 7" x 5" card from black textured cardstock. Set aside.
2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the witch, the cat, the broom, and the cloud (three times) from the Free Broom Rides Clear Stamp Set onto white cardstock.
3. Fussy-cut all of the images, color them with alcohol markers (I used Copics and Olos, and edge them with a black pen. 
4. Use a white gel pen to add highlights to the witch's and cat's eyes. 
5. Use a silver metallic fine tip pen to add the binding around the broom's straw.
6. Set the colored images aside, well away from your spraying area.
7. Use the Building Silhouettes Die 58 for AALL and Create to cut heavy water-friendly black cardstock. I discovered that you could extend your cuts horizontally which worked out really well. Position the die to either side of the black cardstock, secure it in place with low-tack tape, and cut.
8. Spray the Building Silhouettes black die-cut with Steel Shimmer Glitz Spray from the Glitz Spritz Spray Set. a
9. Heat set thoroughly. 
10. Turn the die-cut to the reverse, add two sided tape to cover the windows and doors of the Building Silhouettes die-cut, then flip the die-cut back over to the front so that the sticky part of the tape is in the windows and doors.
11. Cut yellow vellum with the Building Silhouettes Die 58 twice (since the die-cut was extended horizontally).
12. Inset the window and door vellum die-cuts into their corresponding apertures on the inked Building Silhouettes die-cut. 
13. Set the die-cut to a different area of the Glassboard. Place a cutting plate over it. Add the Glassboard Magnetic Ruler and other Glassboard magnets atop the cutting plate. This will flatten out the die-cut and protect it.
14. Cut a piece of white mixed media cardstock to 7.25" x 5.25" for the card's background. 
15. Spray the background panel with Azure Sea Asters Stardust Spray from the Mermaid Sea Shells Stardust Spray Set and the Screamin' Banchee Black Stardust Spray from the Haunted Halloween Stardust Spray Set . This combination makes a really nice shimmery night sky.
16. Heat set the sprayed background panel.
17. Place the panel onto the base of a die-cut machine. Place a piece of clean cardstock directly atop the background panel. Place both cutting plates onto the the base of the die-cut machine and roll the sandwich through the machine several times to help flatten it.
18. Trim the bottom from the  Building Silhouettes die-cut so that the flying witch and cat will fit atop the broom in the sky area. then adhere it to base of the blue/black sprayed background panel. 
19. Trim the layered background to 6.75" x 4.75" and edge with a black marker.
20. Adhere the layered background to a 7" x 5" black card.
21. Use the moon die from the Roadway Vistas Die Set 78  to cut a scrap of white mixed media cardstock.
22. Adhere the three clouds to the sky area of the background. 
23. Adhere the moon die-cut as shown. 
24. Use wet glue and two-sided tape to adhere the witch and the cat to the broom then adhere the broom to the Building Silhouettes die-cut and the sky background. 
25. Add the sentiment stickers to finish the card.
