Good Luck

It's Tuesday which is my day to share a project created for Topflight Stamps. This week's theme over at the Topflight Stamps blog is "Anything Goes". I opted to make a Good Luck card with the Van Gogh Elephant Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set by Katzelkraft.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of blue cardstock to 7" x 10". Score at 5" and fold to form an A7 card. Set aside.
  2. Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the images from the Van Gogh Elephant Unmounted Red Rubber Stamp Set onto white cardstock.
  3. Fussy-cut all of the images.
  4. Use Copic markers to color all of the images except for the "painting" on the easel.
  5. Use Posca Paint pens to add color to the paints on the palette and let dry.
  6. When dry, add clear Glaze pen to add dimension and shine to the paint.
  7. Edge all of the fussy-cut elements with dark ink.
  8. Use New Sprout Memento ink to stamp the heart from the You Go Gull Clear Stamp Set four times on the easel to create a shamrock
  9. Add a stem with a YG05 Copic marker, then color the hearts.
  10. Place the easel onto a piece of scrap paper. 
  11. Use Removable Scotch Tape to adhere the easel to the scrap paper and to cover the wooden parts of the easel.
  12. Use magnets to secure the paper with the easel onto the base of a stamping platform.
  13. Position the open part of the the circle flourish from the Small Elements 1 Clear Stamp Set facedown over the shamrock. 
  14. Press the platform's lid onto the back of the stamp, and lift.
  15. Ink the stamp with Pine Elements Ink and stamp. Re-ink and stamp again if necessary.
  16. Remove the tape from the easel and set the elephant, beret, palette, and easel aside.
  17. Use one of the dies from the A7 Card Creator Die Set to cut white cardstock and place it onto the STAY-tion.
  18. Position the flat hills mask from the Acetate Hills Masks/Stencils Set horizontally across the white die-cut panel. 
  19. Use a Blender to sponge Della Blue Elements Ink over the mask to create a sky. 
  20. Move the mask downwards and sponge Pine Elements Ink over top to create the grass. 
  21. Shift the mask downwards again and repeat the process.
  22. Repeat Step #19  until there were several horizontal lines of grass.
  23. Sponge Lime Punch Elements Ink over the bottom section to add interest. 
  24. Remove the flat hills mask. 
  25. Use chalk pencils to add blades and clumps of grass.
  26. Figure out where the elements are going to stand and add shading with the chalk pencils. 
  27. Rub the grassy area of the panel with a tissue to blend the chalk pencils.
  28. Place the Clouds stencil over the panel.
  29. Sponge or brush Moonlight White Brilliance ink over the stencil onto the blue sky. Heat set.
  30. Edge the panel was edged with Della Blue Elements Ink and set aside.
  31. Cut a piece of green cardstock to 6.75" x 4.75" and place it on the STAY-tion.
  32. Position the Dynamic Stencil over the green cardstock panel.
  33. Use a Blender to sponge Pine Elements Ink over the stencil onto the cardstock.
  34. Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink by Imagine Crafts to stamp the "good luck" sentiment from the More Classic Sentiments Clear Stamp Set onto a piece of white cardstock,
  35. Heat set it, then use a speech bubble cutting die to cut it.
  36. Adhere the stenciled green panel to the reserved  7" x 5" blue card. 
  37. Adhere the scenic background to the card front. 
  38. Adhere the beret and the palette to the Van Gogh Elephant.
  39. Adhere the elephant, his easel, and the sentiment die-cut  to finish the card.
